GBM Calls On Church To Promote Unity By Preaching Peace And Reconciliation

Defense Minister Geoffrey Mwamba says the church the church has a duty to unite the country through preaching reconciliation as mandated by the Holy Bible.

Speaking at the Presence of God ministries healing conference at the government complex in Lusaka today, Mr. Mwamba said the church is a custodian of Gods love and therefore should be impartial and neutral as Zambia still needs love and healing in poverty, gender based violence and many emotional traumas.

Mr. Mwamba says government says it is committed to see enhanced cordial relationship with the church in Zambia.

He says government recognizes the church as an all weather partner towards national development as it is a central focal point where people from all works of life meet.

Mr Mwamba has also noted that the church through its continued corruption fight messages has played a vital role in maintaining a corrupt free society which will continue to be the position of the PF government.

He has further urged politicians to re-define their cause and stop politics of hatred but stand for love and unity.
