Gen Masheke Concerned By Lack Of Consultation Among Ministers
Former Prime Minister under first republican president Kenneth Kaunda Malimba Masheke has described as worrying the decision by Acting President Edgar Lungu to overturn a ban on maize exports announced by Agriculture Minister Robert Sichinga.
General Masheke has observed that overturning such important government decisions implies that Ministers in the Patriotic Front government do not consult cabinet before making important decisions on behalf of government.
He told Qfm in an interview that that the turn of events implies that there a lot of confusion in how the PF is running the country.

Sickening development. Are ministers working in isolation, without consensus, without collective positioning? Is it a cabinet of divided loyalties?

My boss is not painting his bus until somebody overturns or bans the painting of buses to Orange. We know that the Hon. Deputy Minister of Transport did not consult and therefore we are confident that the announcement him made of painting buses to Orange will be reversed. Just like the banning of street vending, the export of maize and the deportation of that Catholic Priest were reversed.
