Poor grammar Tumfweko have time to go thru your work, anyway Sulfur Dioxide kills not only in sewers even in Manholes (where a human can fully step down into). If their families had food those kids wouldnt have thought of that idea. Goes back to government.

Its Amonia which causes the lungs to collapse. Not Sulfur(Sulphur) Dioxide

Look at this bane not stories…. Sewer gases may include hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methane, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides. Improper disposal of petroleum products such as gasoline and mineral spirits contribute to sewer gas hazards. Sewer gases are of concern due to their odor, health effects, and potential for creating fire or explosions.

@FM, you are correct. That is why I am wondering whether the kids died of suffocation or asphyxiation. Anyway, it’s a big loss to the family. My condolences.
