Existence Of Only One Filling Station In Kalulushi District Worry Residents

It is two weeks now that Kalulushi filling station has had no fuel. We have only one filling station in this town. In the olden days when had may be 20cars in the town, there used to be two filling stations. Now we have an average of 1/4 a car per house hold, we have only one filling station which mostly has no fuel at all.

It is becoming both dangerous and expensive for Kalulushi residents to travel to Kitwe wheneve they have to refuel their vehicles. As a resident of Kalulushi and a tax payer for that matter, am calling on Kalulushi Municipal Council to 1) Advertise land for a second filling station and 2) To ask the owners of the current filling station to replace the company or person that is running this station. Buying petrol using cans is a very dangerous practice.

Lets not wait until a bus catches fire because of petrol which passangers are ferring from Kitwe. Infact this lack of the commodity has given birth to illegal petrol peddlers all ove r town. Please KMC heed our call and act just as you have done in keeping the town clean.

Walasa, your observation is right. kalulushi has enough space where a filling station can be put. Kalulushi is no longer a small town as it used to be 10 years ago. It is one of the fast growing town. I would propose if one fuel station is put along Chibuluma road or somewhere near Umulu.

Kalulushi kwati ni mufeduro nanomba. Hahaha.. too much ukusalika!!!
Kanshi balemilalika. Pakuti mwiluke ninshi abanenu yalibazza kale.. lol.

Kalulushi Filling Station near former Flamboyant Club must be added to the World Heritage list in order to preserve that legendery historic site. 50 years has gone by before my eyes watching the station service my place of birth.

There is no place like home, so they say… bati fimo felachilamo. Xandamukeni! It’s 2013 kalulushi is no longer a village! Kwena balimitola.

@Walasa, good point. Service stations are a business ventures. If you residents of Kalulushi, Katete, Mumbwa see a profitable business, come together, write a business proposal, invest in it & apply for a loan!!

By the way the pirate taxis and Noahs have again resurfaced in full gear…. Mr Minister can’t act once and for all. The traffic police are toothless because of personal interest in the matter. They own these Noahs from corrupt means and thus operating illegally. At least RTSA officials are very useful to combat these illegal pirates, please help us Bwana Minister

@mubanga, You DO NOT write a business proposal to whoever. U write it for yourself as a guide. If U need to apply for a loan from any institution, it may give direction that U aint a Kantemba
