Copperbelt University Workers Cry Foul Over Unpaid Allowances

Dear Tumfweko,
There  is  a  dark  cloud  at  the  Copperbelt  University as  unionised  workers have  been  denied allowances  that  are  normally  paid  during  registration.
Management  has  blatantly  refused  to  release  the  monies  citing  they  can  only  provide  refreshments.  Considering  they  had   “millions  of  rebased  Kwacha
to  honour  First  Republican  president  Dr.  Kaunda  with  an  additional  Doctrate  in  Peace  and  Conflict.
Many  workers  are  crying  foul  and  demanding  allowances  be  paid.

CBU employees can be so petty at times. Honestly what does lunch allowances have to do with the first republican Presidents ceremony?? The reason there is no lunch allowances is because students are registering on-line and employees can break off for lunch during lunch hour. its embarrassing that an institution of higher learning that should be in the fore front of showing how technology can save certain unnecessary cost are the ones busy complaining about petty things as lunch allowance. Just have your lunch the same way you do when there is no registration. You are embarrassing the institution mr complainant

    MK,
You are so petty, one would wonder what value you have added since joining CBU apart from fattening your stomach.

Before you think about allowances, dedicate yourself to service, that’s why you chaps have a very pathetic custom care service. With your grade twelve results ati “unionised workers”, you think being unionised is a qualification? Besides everyone can do that job which you do? It is unskilled labour.

Get a life, work for your money, serve people diligently….which dark cloud? LEARN TO USE YOU SALARY RESPONSIBLY, YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO NEEDS THAT MONEY.
