TB Joshua’s Boston Prediction – An analysis

We have received many  emails from readers asking us to publish this analysis by TB Joshua watch website, finally we have decided to publish it. Here is the analysis from TB Joshua watch website.
“Just a few hours later this video was released. Turns out our prophetic ability is better than we imagined.

Sadly this is just more evidence that TB Joshua will shamelessly exploit a tragic situation for his own gain. Sadder still, he has an army of devotees who will lap up everything he says, gushing on their social media profiles about what a “true man of God” he is, without considering the substance of what he has actually said.
Let’s condense the prophecy into a few bullet points:

  1. Pray and fast for America on Monday
  2. There will be flames
  3. Something will be roaming around, wandering in a city in the United States (the Lord will subdue)
  4. American Homeland security should be tight, tight, tight.
  5. There will be bombings
  6. Homeland security is very important
  7. Large gatherings should be avoided or well secured
  8. There will be massacres

When you look at all those bullet points together, it’s not hard to see why people are impressed. The event in question did happen on a Monday, it was a bomb and it happened in a large gathering of people. Of course there is no date on TB Joshua’s video, so we don’t know how many Mondays have passed before this “prophecy” eventually became fulfilled, but credit where credit is due – a fair few facts were predicted.
That’s impressive.
Or at least it would be, if he said all these points at the same time.
But he didn’t.
This video is an edit of 3 different prophecies. The points above can be split up as follows:
Prophecy 1

  1. Pray and fast for America on Monday
  2. There will be flames

Prophecy 2

  1. Something will be roaming around, wandering in a city in the United States (the Lord will subdue)
  2. American Homeland security should be tight, tight, tight.

Prophecy 3

  1. There will be bombings
  2. Homeland security is very important
  3. Large gatherings should be avoided or well secured
  4. There will be massacres

Now we see that the two most accurate elements of this prophecy (a bombing happening on a Monday) were told in two totally separate prophecies. A bombing was predicted, but not on any particular day of the week. Given today’s tense political climate a bombing in America is sadly inevitable. A bombing happening in a large gathering of people is just stating the obvious. It was flames and “something roaming around” (no idea how that fits in!) that was predicted on a Monday. Predicting flames and a day of a week is vague enough that it will fit with many events.
We’ve shown previously how TB Joshua edits out inaccuracies from his prophecies to make them seem more accurate than they really were. Here we see how he stitches together three different vague prophecies given at different times, that together seem reasonably accurate, but taken apart (as they were originally given) are so vague they could mean anything.”

We are all baptised in the Name of Jesus hence those who believe will be declared by the blood of Jesus as Prophets, Kings and Priests. The prophecy by Brother TB could also mean North Korea futuristic ambitions to hit USA since the prophet, king and Priest in Christ Tb Joshua talks of massacre, massacre means death on a very huge scale.

Dear Analyst i do nt see any sense in analysing the man of God’s prophecy. The truth of the matter is that he gave a warning to the Americans and it was up to them to take it and pray over it ubwina kristu nipalobe.

DEFINE A MAN OF GOD PLEASE? I KEEP ON HEARING PEOPLE SAYING MAN OF GOD, MAN OF GOD. WHO IS MAN OF GOD AND WHO IS NOT? ARENT WE ALL CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD? WHAT HE CAN DO MORE SO ALL OF US CAN IF WE SO DESIRE? BE CAREFUL AND REMEMBER THAT THE DEVIL HAS POWERS AS WELL. POWERS TO DECIEVE.

GOD IS A GOD OF LOVE AND LIFE WHEREAS THE DEVIL IS AN AGENT OF DEATH AND DESTRCUTION. DECEPTION IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE THAT MAN FACES TODAY. WE ARE EASILY DECIEVED BY AGENTS OF THE DEVIL. REMEMBER THE DEVIL IS STILL THE PRINCE OF THE EARTH.

Mr analyst your analysis is misplaced period! I can’t make sense out of yo so called anlysis. TB Joshua is not trying to stitch up his prophecy, he is simply saying it as it is revealed to him. You clearly heard him asking himself questions as to what God was trying to reveal to him. He stressed that the great nation of America was under this particular threat and asked people to avoid gatherings/ crowded places. What is your problem?

so what did you want him to say, that a bomb will go off in Boston on Monday at a race at which an 8 year old Caucasian boy will die among other three people?

Good analysis. The secret to creating accurate ”prophecies” is to avoid being specific and remain very very vague. Try this

”a national disaster in Asia. Many lives will be taken. Those in the east regions must pray. I saw everybody panicking. Everybody was unprepared.”

pack that statement and wait for something to happen in Asia. ITS BOUND to happen, whether earthquake, landslide, tsunami or whatever. Edit out what hasn’t happened and VOILA, you’ve got you a ‘Prophet’!

and AMEN to that my brother. Remember that when Christ was asked about the signs of his coming, his first answer is key to everything: TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECIEVES YOU ( Mathew 24.4). Arent we all being decieved by these agents of the devil who proclaim themselves to be prophets? TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECIVES YOU. TBJ is a master deciever.

My analysis, did it happen or not. Was there a bomb blast or not. If there no bomb blast on monday then the prophecy is false but if it took place then it is you mr analysis who is wrong. You need christ or you will spend eternity with liers satan the deceiver

He didn’t predict a bomb blast on a Monday, that was the main point the article was trying to make. He predicted flames on a Monday in one prophecy, and a bomb blast in another prophecy. These were then edited together to make it seem like they were related, but really they weren’t. The “flames on a Monday” prophecy doesn’t even fit very well anyway, since there weren’t flames – just two explosions.

    1 Corinthians 2:14

    New International Version (NIV)

14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

We call ourselves a christian nation???? i am beginning to wonder to what level of validity. know this, God will come to judge each and everyone of us individually, having prejudice towards others does and will not make you a better christian. May God help us all.
