CBU Vice Chancellor Gives Room To Daughter, Bans Squatting

Students at the Copperbelt University have cried foul after it emerged Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naison Ngoma had instructed the Dean of Students (DOS) to allocate a room to his daughter days after he banned squatting.

Sources at the Institution have revealed that Mutinta Ngoma, a 2nd year part time student was awarded the room due to her father’s influence at the school. Prof. Ngoma, a figure largely resented by both students & lecturers alike, has sparked a huge wave of uncertainity at CBU after he banned squatting leaving over 3000 students stranded & in limbo.

If this is true, the VC has no shame. He is in a better financial position to support his daughter’s daily commute to campus. She could simply go with him everyday – no additional cost.
Some of these students come from dire financial backgrounds and need that room more than she could ever imagine.

    No Love for VC,

Iam suprised with the behaviour of you students, where do u find a problem of the VC giving room to the daughter? becasuse the daughter is paying for accommodation and other fees in full, which is an income to the university, foolish students.

i told you guys that Mr Ngoma is corrupt and he must be fired. how can a part time student have a room and yet you instruct new students that they cant sqaurt. the acc and the president who vowed to sweep our country clean from corruption should make such as an example. fire him and prosecute him. the president must also investigate the Zambia railways corruption allegation and bring those board of directors to face the law. these people make our country go backwards without development. the President must stand with the managing director and let that minister as well to be real and remove those corrupt board members be removed immediately.

Such selfish chaps who got totally free education during kk’s time should not frustrate government efforts of educating future leaders. Government must take swift action to this man as those little ones are sleeping in the cold and may get sick or raped. Mr president do something as the situation is getting out of hand. Bavutika bana.

The problem is not that she a daughter of the VC but that she is on Part Time. by the way u only go on part time after failing three courses or a repeat course. According to the students’ handbook part time student are not entitle to a room even if they have cash.

I have a question here, what criteria is used to give rooms? I thought first priority was given to the ‘out of town’students. Its only logical for a Choma student to be accomodated and since the VC’s daughter, I presume lives within can be coming from her dad’s home….

You must be on full time not on part time as she is.
One is on part time after failing in three course or subjects
