Mayors Wife Takes Hubby To Police After Being Battered

Wife to Kitwe Deputy Mayor Francis Miti,Susan Kapemba has reported her husband to the police for having assaulted her which resulted in her knee dislocating.

Mrs. Miti disclosed that her husband who is also Wusakili ward councilor beat her up yesterday morning dislocating her knee when she went to collect her clothes from their matrimonial home.

She says they been on separation since January 2013 and she has since sued foe devorce.

When councilor Miti was contacted for a comment in a telephone interview he refused to give a comment denying being married to the complainant.

However Ms. Kapemba has disclosded that councilor Miti settle her bride price by buying a skirt for the family representative.

She says after the bride price was settled she demanded that they go for VCT which the area councilor refused.

She says she only decided to move in with him after he raped her but could not report to the police as she was his wife

    Guys the position of the Law is that you can’t rape your wife even if you force her cz the husband enjoys conjual rights as provided for by section 132 of the penal code cap 87 of the laws of zambia
