Prof. Clive Chirwa is Right.
I write in support of prof. Chirwa especially that when he says ” i came to help Zambia and have sacrificed a lot”, that is very much correct even when some people might think is boasting or distancing himself from being a Zambian. The thing is,there are a lot of people who have selfish intrestes and are not per se for the promotion of the prosperity of Zambia.Hence, such wrangles against him. Without any doubt, the fact is prof Chirwa is an expert even though a fellow expert like prof Saasa is under estimating him. I think as Zambians lets not try to fight and compete to try to establish who is more learned or more of an expert than the other but try to realize what we can achieve collectively in the interests of fostering progress for our mother Zambia. Sacrifice in the spirit of truth is what is needed. Your brother Joseph( certificate in common sense).

Typical Zambian mentality. If it was a white man getting that salary, no one would say a word. Because a black man is earning a proffesional salary, they complain like mad. That is why many Zambians are working abroad because of such jealousy.
On the other hand, I do not think Chirwa should have been appointed to that position in such a manner. the job was not advertised. He lacks experience because he is an academician and should be teaching instead of leading professionals.
I appeal to Zambian govt to advertise ALL govt and parastatal positions as is the case in countries that are not banana republics. Stop appointing friends and relatives
