Kambwili Justifies Fuel Increment, Says ‘We are Few Zambians Who Drive’

Dear Editor,

According to Minister Chishimba Kambwili’s comments on Radio Phoenix’s “Let The People Talk” programme today, he attributes the logic and wisdom of the PF government’s fuel subsidy removal to the fact that the subsidy was only benefiting “very few Zambians who drive” and the freed resources would therefore go towards development projects for the majority Zambians who don’t.

And this man expects right-thinking Zambians to believe such absurdity and his claim that Fr. Frank Bwalya is now mad and deceiving Zambians for expressing dissenting or divergent views from those of the PF government and for demonstrating political ambition?

The fact that Minister Kambwili does not seem to understand even the very basic economic implications of removing the fuel subsidy as well as the general knowledge Zambians have about the dismal performance of this PF government regarding the fulfillment of election promises speaks more about the minister’s mental capacity than it does about his disparaging comments against Fr. Frank bwalya!

With all holders of post secondary school advanced qualifications and many more striving to better professional qualifications roaming the streets we still constitutionally opt for mediocre minimum qualifications for positions of leadership, no wonder we get this simplistic analysis of how the economy runs. Please review the fuel entitlements for ministers, permanent secretaries and all others who do not purchase fuels on the pretext of running government programs for more savings. Where are our learned economists for comment? I am worried about what will become of Agriculture

Zambians do not need economists to understand the implications of this fuel hike.Chishimba is the most dull and selfish minister, just because he has filled up his pockets then others cannot raise divergent views.PF ni gonga, see you in 2016.

I think government shud try by all simpo means to educate some minister with simpo principals of economic. How does a cabinet minster think so dump or hopless like that. If u remove fuel subsidy, all the comodities will go up. A simpo reason to that, all econimic comodities are transported in the counctry by means of transport and this transport uses fuel. Ba kambwili, call me for few lectures. It shall be free. By the way. Reduce on your comments. Take time to analyse issues b4 u ulter them.

This minister must withdraw his statement and apologize for shallow thinking. Not all Zambians are like him upstairs. Mutati has apologized before.

Small leopard is more crazy than fr Frank Bwalya.
From the on going wrangles between fr Bwalya and kambwili( Small Leopard), I can deduce the following: Kambwlili has something he is fearing which Fr Bwalya knows especially something that threatens his personal comfotarbility.
Fr Bwalya has rights to campaign for the presidency. Sata is not God who should not be challenged. When a person leaves priesthood, he does not get mad as alleged by small leopard. Kambwili is appealing to a fallacy of ignorance and stupidity. If PF has failed to rule the country, we Zambians will choose a different leader. Small leopard should be reminded that there is no permanency. Change is inevitable. Kambwili is a boot licker who is trying to justify stealing of national resources. He should therefore shut his big mouth because each time he speaks he exposes his ignorance. Fuel hicking, shortages of food, load shedding and high prices of things in general are a result of lack of governance skills. You have time that you can improve but failure to this, you will be voted out. It’s not enough to open your mouths widely but use prudence and work.
