Zanaco coach Keagan Mumba will appeal his three-month ban for criticizing Herve Renard’s CHAN/Cosafa Cup scouting programme.
Mumba said his suspension was irregular alleging that FAZ disciplinary committee chairperson Anthony Kasolo did not convene any sitting to hear his case on May 1.
The Zanaco coach did not appear before the FAZ DC and instead filed an exculpatory letter to the committee.
“First of all there was never a committee that sat because the chairman Mr. Kasolo called to say why these people are using his name,” Mumba said.
“I have no problem with them harbouring a grudge against me but they should not punish the Zanaco fans and sponsors.”
Mumba described Renard’s six-week scouting programme that began in March as moribund adding that it was probably hitch in a tavern by the coach and players.
His ban will run from May 6 to August 5.
