New By-Elections Coming In Chipata

The Supreme Court has upheld the High Court’s decision to nullify the election of MMD’s Rueben Mtolo Phiri as Chipata central Member of Parliament.

Patriotic Front losing candidate Lameck Mangani had petitioned the election of Mr Phiri as Member of Parliament in the 2011 elections citing electoral malpractices.

The high court subsequently nullified the seat but Phiri had appealed to Supreme Court against the High court judgment.

Supreme Court judge Mervin Mwanamwambwa upheld the High court decision when he delivered judgment in the matter this morning on grounds that there were electoral malpractices.

Thats what you used to say during the run up to elections 2011 that upnd is much stronger than PF and PF is living in the past glory. The truh is there is no party that can match with PF as at now,

I call apon the PF heiracy to give Mangani another chance. After all he is the one who petitioned and is the one who was going to court though this is not the only qualification to be one. But going by the reserience put by him he somehow qualifies. So pliz consider him.
