How Miniskirts Torment Pastors In Church
Do you want to see a thigh-revealing mini or a figure-hugging tube in its rightful size and colors?
A visit to your nearby parish will not disappoint. Not in this era where uniforms, conservative formal dresses and waist-cloths, popularly known as Zambia, have been elbowed out by mini-skirts, skinny jeans and figure-hugging apparel.
Such is the fashion craze in churches today.
Men are also not to be outdone.
They are donning eye-popping short trousers, vests and jackets with short sleeves and spotting Mohawks. Churches now resemble fashion shows where congregants have replaced Bibles with iPads, iPhones, iPods and tablets.
Tithing is now being done via EcoCash, WhatsApp and Facebook. The congregates are now in the habit of reading scriptures loaded on their phones, iPads and what have you.
These electronic gadgets have become handy since pastors can now send the scriptures way before the service unlike previously when defacing Bibles with handwritten notes was the order of the day. Nowadays church-goers simply log on their tablets and click on the Bible verses with much ease.
Indeed, so much has changed that in other churches they have themed dress codes to suit a particular event. Ever heard of the African wear, Sunday Best, all-white Sunday and formal Sunday, to mention but a few of these themed days?
Somehow things have gone haywire with women now dressing in mini-skirts, net laces and pantyhose with legs criss-crossed while seated in the front rows. Others have a penchant to flash their body piercing and tattoos.
Oddly enough, in the midst of all this are women and men of God are not tempted when they see these beautiful women with long eye-lashes saying Amen to every word they preach.
Ever imagined how the pastors feel about these revealing dresses when they are busy preaching about sanity and morality, which came about after God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah having been incensed by the levels of immorality in that land.
What boggles the mind of many is why do women who dress skimpily opt to sit in the front row?
Primrose, a member of a local Pentecostal church, said there was nothing wrong in wearing a mini so long as one was abiding to other Christian principles of good morals, faith and serving others.
“You should not judge me by what I wear, but the services that I give to the house of the Lord and how well I serve my community in addition to being a child of God based on my Christian virtues,” she said while dressed in a black short dress that left nothing to the imagination Dr Goodwil Shana of Word of Life said the Bible admonished women to dress modestly.
“If you ask me what it means to dress modesty, I believe there should be a balance in church since a church is an open place for everyone.
“Drunks come to church and so are the prostitutes because from the beginning Jesus was accused of preaching to sinners.
“So while the church should be open to anybody, all those that believe in Jesus Christ and have seen the light should dress appropriately.

Lucky enough Jesus came for the deadly siners such as these. But if he was here today,he would have chased these from the church the same way he did to those who were conducting their businesses in the House of Lord.

i admire muslim women when they are going to their mosques,they are always dressed in very long dresses which cover their hands and legs and cover their hair.i wish one one christian women can follow the example of mary the mother of jesus’ dressing,she used to cover her hair but………………….

I doubt if this really in the church, they seem to be in socializing environment. A real pstor will chase such appealling and mind chocking big breasts and legs. so attempting indeed !!

In the first place, those women in picture are not in church, the author just took some picture from the Born & bred awards and what’s us to think there is anything that call itself a church which can allow such dressing. But the fact is churches are there for the sinners and no matter how one justify he/her dressing if they still choose to dress like prostitutes we will still believe that they are prostitutes and we will just call them that and it will haunt us. Remember one’s conduct and action as well their behavior is the best gospel one can preach.

The days of noah are back.It does’nt matter weather in church or born & bread.One has to dress responsibly.This is EVIL,DEMONIC,SATANIC type of dressing.The sad news is that this same type of dressing has craped into churches.God is about to intervene,cos the never been so much weakedness as there is today.

Anyway no wonder pentecoastal churches just preach about prosperity and not salvation. So it doesnt surprise me wen i see women come to church like that coz there is nobody to tell them not to. Morality and salvation are rare topics in such churches

Truely speaking, as long as you get over ten complains of what you’re wearing. That should click in your mind and heart that something really isn’t aligned well, though you can be comfortable with your dresscode or actions but have you thought of WHAT God is saying about that. LETS NOT BURN IN HELL BECAUSE OF THE STUBBORNNESS IN OUR ROCKY HEADS. Remember God is watching us and surely He’ll judge us accordingly.

That picture honestly speaking it is not from any Church.No Church can allow that.Not even in our remote places of Zambia.
Secondly when we talk about modern Church everything is found there.I agree with my colleague in previous comments ipads,tablets,iphones etc are being used in Church for various reasons.
If I may ask to day.If Zambia is really a Christian Nation.Could the Church Councils of Zambia table the motion to bar the artificial Brazilian hair in Churches through out the Country.Women should go back to basic hair style.

Its unfortunate that some churches have ‘liberalized’ the dress code of their congregants, so long as one is able to shower the pastor with expensive gifts and is regularly giving a tithe on Sundays, they see no problem with that, reminding the church goers about poor dressing can drastically reduce there Sunday takings!Last days indeed!
