Name New Lusaka Stadium After ‘Great Kalu’
Dear Editor,
IT IS good that we now have a good stadium in Lusaka almost completed and very soon we will once again have international matches played in the capital city of Zambia.
It is good to have modern sports infrastructure since we are talking about improving the soccer standards in the country.
The Patriotic Front (PF) government, through the hard working minister of Youth and Sports, Chishimba Kambwili, is paying attention to the need to improve sports infrastructure.
I think we need to start with the provision of good sports infrastructure.
We have a lot of stadia in Zambia that can be upgraded, including Godfrey ‘Ucar’ Chitalu stadium in Kabwe and Konkola stadium in Chililabombwe.
With good planning, these can be upgraded to meet international standards.
What will be the best name for the newly constructed stadium in Lusaka? I propose Kalusha Bwalya stadium so that the man can be honoured for his many years of successful contribution to the development of soccer in Zambia.
What do others think?
Let me take this opportunity to wish the Chipolopolo Boys all the best as they prepare for the World Cup qualifiers.

suggesting a name which should be given to the new lusaka stadium. i also agree with sach money, it should be named as HEROES REST STADIUM.

yes in memory of the fallen heroes we have to name the new stadium as HEROES REST STADIUM,because the name sounds better than RB.if RB wants the stadium to be named after him,let him build one in chipata.
