Our client, an international dealer in earthmoving equipment for Mining and Construction, is looking to recruit a Procurement Officer to be based in Lusaka. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating discretionary spending and identifying potential serving opportunities for the business. Your duties will include: preparing tenders and requests for quotation documentation, facilitating ongoing contract negotiations with vendors to review pricing and to obtain legal approval for supply contracts, accurately managing the interface between vendors and all branches, creating purchase orders, ensuring all vendor profiles comply with relevant policies and procedures, in addition to effectively managing procurement expenditure. To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply with a minimum of 3 years working experience. Additionally, you must be computer literate, be proactive, be honest and work with high levels of integrity.

Our client, Cargill Cotton, is looking to recruit an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Co-ordinator to be based in Chipata. Reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will provide support to the Origination Manager and Environmental Health and Safety Manager on all EHS matters by ensuring effective deployment of Cargill EHS policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at the Cotton Ginnery. Your duties will include: maintaining a library of Standard Operating Procedures and work permit documentation consistent with the Cargill Corporate EHS audit protocol, maintaining a library of all legal licences/permits and ensuring timely returns are made for the same to the relevant government /quasi government offices, facilitating EHS trainings in the field which includes farmers trainings on the use and disposal of all chemicals given from Cargill and facilitating mobile equipments training on an annual basis. To be considered for this position you must have a Diploma in Occupation Safety Management, Engineering or Environmental Management with a minimum of 1 year experience in Environmental Health and Safety field work.
