Mweene, Singuluma, Sinkala On Target

Free State Stars captain Kennedy Mweene led his team to a come-back when he scored from the spot to level scores and later see his team cruise to victory via a 3 – 2 scoreline against Black Leopards who have been condemned to the National First Division.

Mweene ensured that his record of scoring in every one of the past 4 season is maintained on the last day of the season with a well taken penalty in the 40^th minute.

Noah Chivuta was a 67^th minute substitute in the game.

Orlando Pirates continued their dismal form in the league and ended the season on a disappointing  3 – 2 home loss to home loss to Maritzburg United.

Collins Mbesuma who finished the season as the club’s top goal scorer on 6 goals started the match but only lasted 41 minutes.

This was Pirates 4^th loss in 5 games in the league as they conceded the title to Kaizer Chiefs.

Jospeh Musonda completed the game in Golden Arrows 3 – 0 loss to Ajax Capetown. The veteran defender played 23 games out of the 30 in the season.

Davies Nkausu and Clifford Mulenga both made the starting line-up in a game Supersport United were overrun 3 – 0 by Platinum Stars.

Davies Nkausu completed the match while Clfford Mulenga was substituted at half time.

In Cong DR, TP Mazembe trounced LD Muculmana 4 – 0 with Given Singuluma and Nathan Sinkala contributing goals in the 34^th and 80^th minutes respectively.

Hichani Himonde made the bench but Rianford Kalaba missed the match die to a calf muscle injury.

In Romania, Fwayo Tembo played 72 minutes in his club’s vital away 1 – 1 draw against fellow Europa league contenders Petrolul Ploeisti to stay in third position and occupy the last Eruopa league position with 2 games to play.

Astra will be involved in a Romanian cup final game on Wednesday against Cluj.

In Netherlands, Jacob Mulenga’s Utrecht sailed to the final of the Eruopa league play-offs after they dispatched Heerenveen 2 – 1 and 3 – 1 on aggregate.

Jacob again provided an assist in the 82^nd minute in a game he played 90 minutes.

Utrecht will now play FC Twente in a two legged final to be played on 23^rd and 26^th of May.

In Portugal, Emmanuel Mbola completed the entire game for the Porto reserves as they drew 0 – 0 away Naval.

In England, Emmanuel Mayuka ended his first season in the English premier league without a goal after he made an 8 minute appearance for Southampton against Stoke in a game which ended 1 – 1.

In Belgium, Rodgers Kola was not on the bench as he team moved to the final of the Europa league play-off.

In China, James Chamanga completed 90 minutes but could not help his club Liaoning Whowin go down 4 – 1 to Guanzho Evergrande.

In Israel, Signs Chibambo helped his club secure promotion to the top flight and played 80 minutes as Hapoel Ra’anana beat Hapoel Jerusalem 3-1 to secure promotion as runners up to Macabbi Petah Tikva.
