Title Chasing Zesco Get Bus Boost

Zesco United Football Club has received a 54 sitter Higer bus from their sponsors with management challenging them to win the league.

Speaking during the hand over ceremony of the US$187, 000 dollars Zesco Managing Director Cyprian Chitundu said management hoped that the donation would motivate the team further.

Chitundu said it was sad that few people took pride in supporting local teams as they did with foreign teams.

“If we want Zesco to be like Manchester United we must create it that is why we are handing over this 54 sitter bus that we got at a very high cost of Kr 995, 962, 000 or US$187, 000 dollars,” Chitundu said.

“We hope our added contribution today will motivate the team further.”

And club chairman Kenneth Muteto said the team would repay the gesture by winning the league.

“We take pride in being one of the best sponsored teams if not the best in the league we will the gesture by winning the league and any cup competition,” Muteto said.

Defender Chalwe Kabamba said the players were grateful for the gesture and would work hard to win the league.

Zesco is in second position in the MTN/FAZ league on 21 points and two off leaders Nkana.

Is that huge amount of money a typo or something? it definately can not be Kr995, 962, 000. US$187, 000 is as huge as Kr995, 962, 000!!!!! You have to reverse this ba Tumfweko

One day you will realise that he is doing good things for our country unless ngamuli bana bambwa napela.
