Inform Nkana Dent Chipolopolo’s June World Cup Preparations

FAZ Super Division leaders Nkana have defeated Chipolopolo 2-1 during a training match at Wusakile Stadium to dim Herve Renard’s spirits as the team prepares for next month’s twin 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Sudan.

Nkana’s Christopher Munthali and Ronald Kampamba scored in the first half to give the 11 time league kings, who are having perhaps their best season in a decade, a 2-0 cushion in the first half.

Striker Emmanuel Mayuka stepped up to convert a spot kick and reduce the arrears for Chipolopolo but Nkana stayed firm to collect some kudos on the day.

Meanwhile, the Chipolopolo camp has been boosted by further arrivals with Southampton striker Emmanuel Mayuka, Davies Nkausu, Emmanuel Mbola and Chisamba Lungu teaming up with the squad for the second day’s morning training session.

Mayuka, who has spent his first season at Premiership side Southampton on the fringes of first team action, will be hoping to bury that memory as he pulls on the national team jersey.

Herve Renard would be happy that only FC Utrecht’s Jacob Mulenga remains from the European legion with the TP Mazembe bunch coming after their weekend engagement while the far East duo of James Chamanga and skipper Christopher Katongo joining early next week.

On Tuesday Joseph Musonda and Collins Mbesuma became the first foreign based players to join camp with Mweene and Mayuka loosening up in the afternoon session on the same day.

The Chipolopolo are preparing for the June 8 Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Why cant we declare Nkhana our national team? Its like Nkhana has better managers who are able to read Renard’s game plan. I therefore propose the inclusion of Nkhana managers in the Zambian technical bench.

These websites do not invest time in editing what they write.
It was not supposed to be “inform” but rather “In form ” to imply that Nkana is in form bearing in mind the fact that they are current MTN FAZ league leaders.

We have so much idolized football to an extent that we have forgotten that God gives the victory. If Zambia has to manage to get to the world cup, we need to pray for the hand of God to be upon the national team. Let us pray and do our part of proper preparation
