Stanchart Zambia ATM charges Dissapoints Customers

Dear Editor,
I would appreciate if my mail is published in your most popular online publication so that someone could clearly explain my problem and probably others could benefit from the same information. This has been bothering me ever since Stanchart Zambia started charging extra costs on ATM withdraw.
I don’t understand why Stanchart Zambia should limit the number of times on a savings account that a customer should withdraw using an ATM (i.e. four times/month) and charge K20 for any extra withdraw in addition to regular K5 ATM withdraw fee. Has BOZ approved such charges? Is this legal? Apparently I have only seen this at Stanchart. I see this as daylight robbery which is disadvantaging hard working men and women of their well deserved earnings

Hey natasha, its called savings for a reason.u must serve en not use it as a transactional account.such accounts r for pipo with xtra money.other banks only allow twice in a month en the 3rd month u wil b charged k40.go back there en inquire more on other transactional accounts.

Its called a SAVINGS a/c. Meaning there shud be more deposits n not withdrawals. Go back to the bank and let someone advise u which a/c is best for ur kind of transactions..therz no robbery here they r just measures that help u reduce on withdrawals

Some banks charge much lower than that. Just change the bank: like the people’s bank – if you know what I mean…

Its sad because, sometimes the opption are smaller than your wanting . like you want 4000 then the option will only be 1000 down to 200 , so this this case you are force to insert your card 4times and will be charged 4 times , can u imagine .
