People should know an Accountant is someone who has completed ACCA,ZICA or CIMA and registered with ZICA as such. She may be a clerk or accounts assistant not Accountant. Please stop embarrassing our profession. Just because you are a cashier doesn’t make you an Accountant. You need to crack ACCA and be recognised by ZICA to become an Accountant and cracking ACCA trust me is not a joke. Most of you working as Accountants are actually not accountants and risk being sued for holding out. Even most expatriates working as Accountants are doing that illegally because our immigration system is corrupt.
