Solwezi MP: I Rejected SATA’s Job Offer When He Called Me To See Him at State House

Hon. Mulusa
Solwezi East MMD MP, Lucky Mulusa has disclosed that President Sata called him to State House and offered him a ministerial job which he turned down.
Speaking on Sunday night’s Muvi TV programme, Mr. Mulusa used the interview to expose President Sata’s penchant to cause unnecessary and costly by-elections as one meant only to boost PF numbers in Parliament.
“I felt insulted by the offer because it was not even in line with my profession and convictions and just imagine, it would have meant another by-election,”
“Yes, Mr. Sata called me to his office and offered me a deputy ministerial job at Gender, it was all about beefing up the PF numbers in Parliament,” he disclosed.
Mr. Mulusa further disclosed that PF’s petitions against opposition MPs was “the silver bullet” being used to chock and blackmail parliamentarians and force them to cross the floor.
He said the ruling party was approaching MPs who were laden with legal and other costs and offering them to lift their burden if they quit MMD to join PF.
“Just look at Gabriel Namulambe’s court case on corruption, it has gone quiet ever since he joined PF,” charged Mulusa.
He said he felt sorry for MPs who were weak and without principles as they had fallen for the PF bait to hit them at their weakest.

Good for you although at that level, you are not required to be specialist. So, your argument should be based on principle but now, I am guessing it was based on your perceived insult in the offer. The price was not high enough for you is what I am hearing.

But the truth is that, your so called principles at one point will be diluted. Why am saying so because your party will never see the corridors of power again hence the need for your principles to wane away.

Again its the duty of the president to call or contact any person as long he or she is a member of parliament and we cannot call that poarching. The consistution says the president will choose ministers amoung the members of parliament it doesn’t segregate the opposition. And tadd more it doesn’t say when choosing, the president must consult. So do not blame the president of poarching the MPs.

Its like mulusa ov erated himself, if he was given a full ministry post, he would not have minded. But to be a deputy minister was below his expectations.

This guy is a liar and he’s starting to literally getting way ahead of himself, does he have any evidence to show us that the president really offered him a job, he’s not told us when he was offered that job and why he’s had to wait until now. It’s getting seriously ridiculous now I won’t be surprised if moro.ns like lifwekelo and Siulapwa wake up tomorrow and claim they too turned down appointments in foreign service. These are some of frustrated MPs who consider themselves highly educated who expected an approach from the president’s office but got none.

RULE NO. 1: Do not turn down a presidential offer.
RULE NO. 2: If you turn down the presidents offer, never blow a trumpet. Just thank him and zip up.
REASON: Tomorrow you senior will accept the same offer and you’ll never again be considered any offer.

What Mr. Mulusa insulted is not Mr. Sata. It is the presidency and the position of deputy minister. Any president can appoint any PM to a ministerial position.
