Zambia Will Not Accept a Constitution Without Contentiuos Clauses- Mulongoti

The opposition People’s Party (PP) president Mike Mulongoti has warned the Patriotic Front (PF) government that people in the country will not accept the new constitution if the most contentious clauses and articles are not adopted.

Mr. Mulongoti has also challenged the PF government to explanation to the people in the country why constitutional making process is taking longer than promised.

Mr. Mulongoti adds that the continued delays in producing the constitution is costing the country huge sums of money and that the PF government should be held accountable for such wasteful expenditure of public funds

You want PF to include all conteciuos clauses in the constitution something which you as MMD failed lamentably. It is good to have the constitution that stands the taste of time but you Mulongoti you’re the wrong person to demand that cause you yourself failed more than three times in 20 yesr rule as MMD when pipo were demanding that.

Was also wondering whether the article was wrongly attributed to Mulongoti! He should be the last person to even talk about the constitution, fima politicians fimo tafichinja iyo…talking carp all the time! Why did they not give us a constitution that would have stood the taste of time in their 20 years of mis-rule, swine!

Mr Mulongati has lost totally lost direction (his), diverted from he seemed to stood up for. The constitution making is in open hands of the committee responsible and I am sure Mike has even a “heard” say in what the proceedings have been thus far. Being contradicting and antagonizing for the sake of it or politicking to please ears and his own mouth shows how aged politically he has become. There has been plenty of time allocated to the constitution making process such that some circles including Mike himself are even getting tired of waiting for the draft having exhausted their free contribution and counter proposals. Let him not take the constitution process making a political pawn for his ambitions. Mike exercise maturity and wisdom if any is left in you, that way Zambians will respect you. Okey ba guy, be cool. Ask Mpombo, I told him “Mpombo wi bilima, iyi bilima taikata”. Learn from Sata and stop counting your age and wait patiently.
