Mulongoti tells Technical Committee To Be Proffessional

People’s party president Mike Mulongoti has appealed to the technical committee drafting the constitution to work as professionals and deliver to the expectations of the majority Zambians.
Speaking to Qfm news, Mr Mulongoti says the huge sum of money that has been spent on the constitution making could have been channeled to critical sectors hence the need for all technical committee members to do their best and deliver a good document.

Mr. Mulongoti explains that in as much as his party commends government for rejecting the request by the committee to have the June deadline extended, there is need for those drafting the constitution to work tirelessly and deliver a document which will impress every Zambian.

Mr. Mulongoti says Zambians have for a long time been yearning for a constitution that will stand the taste of time.

They will do a good job of course which you and Rupiah as MMD members failed to do after gobbling huge sums of money which was tax payer money. As MMD,you lamentably failed in more than three attempts resulting to wastage of huge sums of money. But PF will deliver the constitution which will stand the test of time and a pipo driven one.

ISAAC, What guarantee do you have that Poor Finishing (PF) party will deliver a people driven constitution if they have completely failed to have even come up with a legal framework to protect people’s submission but instead are busy buying MPs to inrease their numbers in parliament so that to hijack the submissions of Zambian people and come up with a Kabimba Sata driven constitution. What a useless party in government. Mr Mulongoti’s advise is timely.

@shonga, At what level is an MP bought or lost? Is it when he is fired by his/her party president or constitutionally appointed to SERVE Zambians? If Hakainde convinced ME that there is substance in him, would you say I’m bought?

@Kakolwe, at MP is bought in Zambia by taking advantage of defective Constitutional provisions. Honestly, it doesn’s make sense for the Sata Administration to argue that opposition MPs are appointed to serve in government because the constitutional provides so. Whether a person is in parliament or executive they are part of government. And morever, it is not the responsibility of an MP to develop his constituency but that of the central administration that is Sata and his minions. The constitution provides under article 79 that parliament can amend the constitutional by passing a constitutional Amendment Bill. Why can’t Sata through the Minister of Justice do the same instead of embracing that defective constitutional provision which provides for By – elections.

Zambian constitution is quite clear,it says the president shall choose ministers amoung members of parliament it doesn’t say only from acertain political party and we cannot say that is buying.Shonga as i said earlier on you’er driven by envy and novicity resulting in having a failure judgement on part.Even if Hakainde or Mumba become presidents today, the very same thing will continue to happen until the constitution is amended or changed.
