SADC Summit has ordered Zimbabwe to have a re-think on the 31 July election date.
The MDC spokesman Nhlanhla Dube posted on his facebook profile that “SADC Summit has ‘ordered’ Minister Chinamasa to go back back to Con Court and apply for a revocation.”
Before departing for the Summit, South African President Jacob Zuma, the Sadc appointed mediator to the Zimbabwe crisis says Zimbabwe’s ruling parties will have to secure consensus before proclaiming election dates.
Reacting to President Robert Mugabe’s unilateral proclamation of an election on July 31, Zuma’s international relations advisor Lindiwe Zulu told the UK Telegraph that the regional body will not allow another sham election reminiscent of the 2008 vote which according to rights groups claimed over 200 lives.
She spoke ahead of a crucial regional summit of the Sadc in Maputo today convened to discuss a request to fund Zimbabwe’s forthcoming election and the state of preparedness for the poll.
The bankrupt Harare administration has appealed for $132 million from the regional bloc to bankroll the election.

What is it that SADC can tell Mugabe if they have lamentably failed to broker a concrete peace deal in Zimbabwe and moreover, Zimbabwe is a sovereign nation thus Mugabe can any decision without succumbing to western puppet Tshangarai. Go Mugabe no returning back

Anybody who knows what Kafupi (mhsrp) did to our country Zambia, will think twice to support Morgan as Zim president! Western countries have their own interest in Zimbabwe and not Zimbabwean citizenry, so if Morgan win they will definately champion it.
