ZAMBEEF Takes Down Imported Beef, Blames Former Employee For Exposing The Company

Zambeef has with immediate effect recalled all imported beef products from its outlets in the country.

Zambeef Chief Executive Officer Francis Grogan announced at a media briefing in Lusaka yestereday that this is in view of recent media reports to the effect that there are dangerous levels of Aromatic Aldehydes in Zambeef’s imported beef products.

Mr. Grogan says the products have been withdrawn from market until the matter is fully investigated by the ministry of health to pave way for credible and transparent sampling and testing by the ministry and Zambeef themselves.

Mr. Grogan says customers are the company’s main concern in the whole issue, stating that Zambeef would not knowingly supply them with sub standard products.

He says Zambeef has grown to be one of the most admired and highly respected companies in Zambia and hence takes the quality of products and health of its customers seriously stressing that to suggest that it would risk the health of its customers for whatever gain is totally and utterly absurd in the extreme.

Mr. Grogan has further assured the public that Zambeef will engage and cooperate with the Ministry of health on the matter and hopes that the ministry will involve them in the sampling and testing process of beef products from the beginning to the end.

He adds that the company’s operations are open to scrutiny and hopes that the matter will be resolved in a sober, professional manner relying on conclusive scientific evidence.

Mr. Grogan has further blamed a disgruntled former employee for sparking the whole issue out of bitterness after being dismissed by the company last year.

Mr. Grogan says after being dismissed Gregory Kapansa, allegedly threatened to harm the company unless he was paid a huge sum of money which the company refused.

He explains that the matter is now in court.
Mr. Grogan has further assured the public that all imported Zambeef products are only sourced from highly credible meat exporting companies overseas with all consignments being accompanied by Health Certificates and Certificates of Wholesomeness signed by relevant government authorities of exporting countries.

Tumfweko, You have erased a story about GBM’s daughter in diplomatic mission, why???? How much do you receive for erasing stories? We need to discuss that in full as well. Zambia is ours and not for GBM. Or does money mean so much to you.

I hope this is the only fora you end up with. You have no credibility whatsoever.
