Finally Notorious Mailoni Brothers Gunned Down By Chindwin Soldiers

The bullet riddled bodies of the three brothers who have terrorised Luano valley are lying in Kabwe general hospital mortuary and were identified by their aging mother, Janet Njimu and their other brother, who both fled the area for fear of being killed by the killers.
The terrorists have caused havoc on the people of Luano valley who have been fearing to go and harvest their crops and have killed countless security personnel.
The operation was a full military operation which involved combat soldiers and some commandoes camping in the area to get information about the notorious trio.
And the Zambia police have confirmed the killing of the Mailon brothers.
‘The three were shot dead by the Zambia Army officers who have been operating from the area on 24th June 2013 around 15 hours. They have been positively identified as Mika Mailoni aged 35, Stephen Mailoni 31 and Fabian Elias TundaMailoni aged 27 year,’ said police spokesperson Charity Chanda
She said the bodies of deceased have been positively identified by village headman NgosaChibale whom they once attacked and two of their childhood friends.
‘The trio was cornered between chief Chembe and Chinika area in Luano valley. The bodies of the deceased are lying in Kabwe general hospital mortuary awaiting identification by their mother’ said Chanda.
The Mailon bothers are a family of killers who have been living in the bush and killing people around the Luano valley in Mkushi District.
They are reported to have killed close to 20 people so far.
The Zambia police have failed to capture the killer brothers since 2007 when then started the ‘civil’ war.
The Maillon bothers have been using bows and arrows to kill people.
The brothers are Mika, Fabien and Stefan.

Jeeeeeesus! God is indeed great but was there not a way of just capturing them rather than just shooting them so that maybe they could have eplained their motive of killing inoccent people to the nation? Or may be a warrant was issued which said “wanted dead or alive?”

Just want to correct the nomenclature used above to identify the Army unit involved. It should read 3ZR Infantry Unit and not as brigade. A Brigade in military teminology means something else and there is no way that brigade can be sent to hunt two chaps. That would be a waste of resources and manpower. Am sure that the Army spokesperson would make a correction to this. A Brigade is just too big for the trio please.
I will appreciate if this correction can be made.

The brothers are said ti have been armed with “bows and arrows” while soldiers were armed with Ak-46 and whatever else they had in their arsenal, though nothing seems to have been said regarding the soldiers orders, whether “kill and display” or “capture and try in court”, albeit some will still argue and say they did not give their victims such a chance either, but remember, irregardless of the scale of the crime, there is always an moral argument to it. for the army, it may also have been a training mission cut short.

Distorted kinda reporting though! Finally people of Luano can live in peace and without fear! But losing life is never a happy thing wish the brothers were apprehended and faced jail sentences and probably explain what their mission really was. MTSRIP!

They explained the motive behind the killing of Innocent souls. There father was found dead in the maize fields,they did not like the way there father was killed. so they told the people in Luano village that anyone we find cultivating in this field were our father died, we shall kill!! people thought it was a joke. it was there land of-course, and there space.people who they killed were those they found in the filed To every good thing there’s a bad thing and to every bad thing there’s a good thing!! nothing lasts forever.my condolences. It’s sad that our soldiers ,with all the training they have, still believe in charms and witchcraft.I was expecting to hear a narration of a military maneuver that led to the cornering and killing of the suspects.Not stuff like “they started changing into something else like wild animals”….in this day and age.
We need to see professionalism and not religious fundamentalism in our country.

Outstanding ovations goes to GBM in particular and govt as a whole. It has to take 7 years for these guys to be cleared. Mwanawasa tried in 2007 but failed,Rupiah Banda tried in 2009 upto 2010 but failed and President Sata came with a strategy and the game is over. I only pity with the mother,loosing three children at once in most cases is unbearable.
