Mtesa Claims PF can Be Ousted From Power by a Single Political Party With Hard Work

The opposition Zambians for Empowerment has observed that any opposition political party in the country can single handedly, unseat the ruling Patriotic Front from power if such a political party works hard.

Responding to calls that the opposition should merge when participating in the July 25 by-elections, ZED president Fred Mtesa noted that as opposed to venturing into Temporal alliances, the opposition still have the potential to win elections as was witnessed when the PF unseat the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) in the 2011 general elections.

Dr. Mtesa notes that despite the PF%u2019s continued recording of victories in recently held by-elections in the country, there is no guarantee that the PF will continue winning each by-election that the country hosts and that opposition political parties should be encourage take part in all elections with the aim of winning the polls.

Dr. Mtesa however noted that there should be the formulation of an alliance amongst the opposition, such an alliance ought to be based an agreed upon strategy.

…sometimes even their families are so embarrased to associate themselves with these tuma one man parties!…how does one explain getting one vote(his own vote that is!) during an election, given the scenario that he has four or five eligible voters under his roof?

Mutesa might be right but no opposition political party will win lections through yapping on the internet or by having five permanet callers on radios. But looking at things and having a critical analysis, there is no party that cam unseat PF in 2016. For MMD it was clear seen that they will be out.
