Collins Mbesuma hopes a good start at Orlando Pirates this season will fuel him for September’s clash against Ghana.
Mbesuma is enjoying a personal Zambia revival after years of underachievement in a Chipolopolo jersey and has so far scored three goals six games this year.
“I want to play every game for Pirates in order for me to keep my shape,”Mbesuma said.
“I want my club to help me achieve the fitness levels that will help me smash Ghana, that is my objective.”
Mbesuma is heading into his second successive season with Pirates where he scored six goals in the PSL and another two in cup competition.
Zambia must beat Ghana on September 6 in Kumasi in their final 2014 World Cup Group D qualifier to secure their place in October and November’s two-leg final qualifying round on the road to Brazil.
Ghana lead Group D on 12 points, one more than Zambia after five games played.

Just yaping yaping, last time you said Sudan would feel your weight, the only thing that felt your weight is the grass you were running on, nothing came out of it so shut the f@kc up and score some real goals instead in Ghana

mr mbesuma we have heard that story before. Do the talking on the pitch on the actual day. You miserably failed to smash sudan how can you smash the black stars. My advise to you is do us a big favour by just keeping your mouth shut in the meantime and speak after the game.

Good advice from all. As a nation, we are tired of players promising what they cannot deliver. Just shut your mouth and wait for the game in September. You are the same guys that have pout us in the situation by failing to collect points from Lesotho and Sudan. And now you are talking about thrashing the stars!
