Kaingu: Campaign Lies Have Caught Up With PF

MONEY alone cannot propel any political party to power, says MMD vice-president for politics Michael Kaingu.
And Kaingu says the PF have been caught in a web of lies over its campaign promises.
Commenting on PF Lusaka Province chairperson Geoffrey Chuumbwe’s statement that MMD members should not cry foul because they had a lot of money in the run-up to the 2011 elections, Kaingu, who is also Mwandi MMD member of parliament, said political parties come to power out of people’s conviction.
“Once the people get convinced that this is a right party and it has principles it will come into power. You think the ANC had a lot of money in South Africa. You think the PF had a lot of money in Zambia. You think MMD in 1991 when we started there was a lot of money. It is not money that brings people into power. Yes, money is something that we need to have to do one or two things, but that basically is not the thing that put parties into power,” he said.
Kaingu said the MMD would easily bounce back to power because the PF had failed to implement the former ruling party’s economic policies.
“For us we don’t need to work very hard. We lost the elections not because we didn’t perform. We lost elections because PF lied to the people of Zambia. Once the people of Zambia realise that actually we were better in government than PF, they will vote us back into office,” he said. “Their winning of by-elections cannot be attributed to popularity. They PF are giving the bread everywhere so they want to eat the bread.”
And Kaingu said PF was voted to office on the basis of lies.
“The lies have caught up with the PF because they have failed to fulfil their campaign promises such as; the restoration of Barotseland Agreement, the introduction of windfall tax, the more money in your pocket, the creation of employment for the youths,” he said.
Kaingu claimed that MMD’s future was still bright despite its financial woes.
“It is the policies and MMD’s policies are being used by the PF only that they are not implementing them properly. We came up with policies to build the economy and now we are seeing the economy going down. Once Zambians realise that PF is taking them nowhere, they will come back to MMD. That is what will make us to come back into power not money,” said Kaingu.
Recently, MMD national treasurer Mwansa Mbulakulima said Zambians should not celebrate over financial problems the party was facing.
And Chuumbwe said the former ruling party should disband as a political party because it had no money for campaigns.

People of Zambia must be told that if you want to know why failed think about yourself as a cause of the failure. The moment you start pointing a figure at someone, you will never know what inadequacies you possessed at the time of your endeavor.

Lies can never motivate someone to vote otherwise. Michael Sata was demonized by Chanda Chimba III and people of Zambia heard all the lies but did not listen and heed.

Job creation is not as easy as 123. It takes a huge national aggregate demand for jobs to be created. I do not PF has failed per se. Judge PF after 5 years not under 2 years.

So Zambians, when you have something to do, do it well and you shall see what will happen tomorrow.

The man is just displaying his ignorance. So far PF is on the right track. They may have their own short falls but indeed they are far better than MMD and UPND that does not seem to know what they want. Zambia will change for the better under PF. MMD again, NEVER!

PF have continued to take your seats and all you are saying is nonsense. You ruled Zambia for 20 years and destroyed all the jobs KK had created for us.

MMD current president Nevers Mumba is the major stumbling block to any restoration of MMDs political fortunes. As long as Mumba is at the helm of leadership, MMD have simply no chance.
