Chipolopolo midfielder Rainford Kalaba has shaken off injury to join his TP Mazembe club mates in Ghana where the Lubumbashi side plays Hearts of Oak in the President’s Cup in that country.
Kalaba was part of the 23 players that arrived at Kotoko International Airport in Accra this afternoon.
The influential midfielder missed Zambia’s two World Cup qualifiers earlier this month due to a calf injury.
TP Mazembe has been invited alongside Enugu Rangers of Nigeria who face Medeana SC on Friday afternoon in matches to be played simultaneously.
The 28 year old has yet to put in a full shift for Zambia since the 2012 Africa Cup winning performance.
The rest of the travelling Zambian players are Nathan Sinkala, Hichani Himoonde and Given Singuluma.
Winners will face each other in the final on July 1 to coincide with the Ghana national day with Republican President John Dramani Mahama gracing the occasion.
