Two children aged 12 and 8 years have lost their lives in a road accident after a vehicle driven by their mother plunged into a ditch near Nyumba Yanga area in Lusaka.
Their mother, Makhosazana Dlamini Haanzele lost control of her Suzuki Grant Vatara Reg ALC 2482 as she was chasing after her husband Frank Haanzele whom she suspected was carrying a girlfriend.
The accident occurred around 20 Hours on Friday 28th June at the junction of Leopards Hill and Godfery Chitalu road.
The kids, Michelo (8) and Jolezya (12) who were passengers died while the husband and the wife are injured and admitted in UTH.
Police Acting Spokesperson Charity Chanda confirmed the accident and said the vehicle overturned due to excessive speed.
Ms Chanda said the accident happened when the woman,Makhosazana Dlamin Haanzele who was driving a Suzuki Grant Vitara registration number ALC 2482 was with her three children and her brother-in law when the accident occurred.
“Makhosazana who was with her three children and brother-in-law in her car decided to pursue her husband’s vehicle and in the process lost control of the car due to excessive speeding and over-turned. Two of her children died,” Ms Chanda said.
She said the bodies of the deceased are at the UTH mortuary.
Makhosazana who is said to be in a state of shock and one of her surviving child are admitted to University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
By press time, Makhosazana who had not been informed of her children’s tragic passing had not been visited in hospital by her husband.

Sad!!!! In olden days during marriage councelling women were taught akusunga inkama nokushipa ifintu ngafwacitika. They were told in advance that men are useless when came to women as such whatever you hear, see or find kufisunga fyamu n’ganda. AS children we were not even knowing whether dad had concubines or if he had slept out because ifyafyupo abana tabalingile ukuba inolved. Ifyankama panse naiwe though she should not have involved her kids in chasing their dad. People are getting infected with HIV in homes and you bring in inkama, inkama for who on issues of infidelity? Let’s be real, both were wrong but the man is just a pure pig. Why even run away if he is man enough?kashetani!

How could the accident happen at 20hrs when it was a headline item with video on the ZNBC 19hrs news?
What vehicle is a Grant Vitara or did you mean a Grand Vitara?
You could do well to put the word Cheating in inverted commas! Unless ofcourse you have facts?(

The sad thing is that this marriage will not survive. The woman’s maiden names sound Swazi or suthu, nowander.Zambian women will wait for their husband at home to dance to their music including pouring hot cooking oil on cheating husbands, burning homes, knifing husbands or simply calling their boyfreinds in the presence of their husband and thanking them for the previous night sexual encounter. That would do rather taking the lives of innocent children.Alangizi after the burial rush there and see how you can salvage that brocken marriage.

This cheating Tonga man would not have led his children to their deaths if he had decided not to drive his prostitute in his car and just had given her money for a cab to go to or back from the place where they were supposedly having a good time. But because of being tight-fisted, this Tonga man thought he was making a saving on his money. Waona manje wayamba kulila! Kaso these Tonga men.

Very Sad Indeed. Extremely Sad. And All Because Of Our So Called Modern Lives Where Women Are So Dangerously Obsessed With Catching Their Men Pants Down. Men, Whose Behavior Has Been The Same For Thousands Of Years Are Not About To Change Now And That Is Just The Way It Is. I am Not Saying Its Right. I Lost A Close Friend Some Time Back In Similar Circumstances. She Was Not An Experienced Driver But Decided To Trek From Livingstone To Kitwe Alone Just To Catch Her Cheating Husband. She Only Reached Mwana Mainda Hills. Died On The Spot.

Guys, Let us be reasonable for once. These are matters of the heart; love. There was no time for her to think through things. Apparently she saw her husband pass by them-her car with a woman inside. Most likely, the husband has a reputation with women. The only sensible thing for her at that moment was to follow the car and catch them red handed. Unfortunately, the devil won. I strongly want to believe she could have given up on the chase eventually-had it not been for the accident. Please, let us not judge. Additionally, takwaba icimbusa icifunda ati “women should not fight for their marriage.” A lesson to all those who like fooling around especially adultery is the following: ‘ When you seen, you do not only sin against God, but yourself and the people you love-wife, and children. May God rest the souls of the children.

guys let us not speculate, this woman should explain what happened and why she chased after the husband. If she did not have a proof that the husband was driving with his lover in the car then we will make a conclusion that the husband was wrong, but if it was the other way round then she should be blamed.

Too bad for the woman and other women should pray for her and the children, instead of blaming the woman for everything. No woman would have predicted what to do the time she saw her husband driving another woman in her car. Who know maybe the car the husband was driving was bought by the wife herself and this may have doubled her thinking the time she saw her husband driving another woman in her own car. Then the other woman being driven cannot be blamed too. It is well known that Tongas are polygamous. So who also knows maybe the same woman being driven in the said car was actually the owner of the vehicle the husband was driving that how he could not give her money for a taxi. The man knows what secrets he has been telling these women and it is him to blame for everything. I laughed at the way women look at other motorists in Lusaka, during daylight, just to see if it is the other woman they will see. The roads are dangerous and when one is driving, its better to concentrate on the car they are driving. Chimanso manso is dangerous. We should emulate the advice by one of our elders that they used to counsel women what to do when faced with marital problems, shipukisha and dealing matters discreetly helps. Save the children from such dangerous things. Polygamous Men should plan to drive on their own in their own cars. The two women are all in problems as a child’s soul is very powerful and will always linger around them and so is their husband/boyfriend, he cannot pretend as he is the major culprit of all this mess. be responsible when you take on another woman and keep the women out of sight of each other unless they are will cultured and counseled to accept and be proud of their status and respect their husband. Not relays in dangerous roads, endangering children’s lives. Its a shame to Zambia as a while. Men need counseling. EG President Jacob Zuma’s wives are a role mode to Polygamous Africans and the whole world admires and respects them and they lead dignified lives. Its time to face reality.
