Zambia’s Chipolopolo boys have slipped to 60th position on the latest FIFA Coca Cola World rankings released today.
The former African Champion who have had an indifferent performance since winning the 2012 AFCON title have dropped eleven places to move of the top 50 bracket just below South Africa’s Bafana Bafana who are ranked 59th.
Herve Renard’s side is now ranked ninth in Africa with Ivory Coast and Ghana still being the top ranked teams in Africa.
Zambia’s latest poor ranking comes in the wake of a one all draw recorded at home against Nile Crocodiles of Sudan in a world cup qualifier which put the hopes of making it to last stage of the qualifiers for the former Kings of African football hanging in the balance.
Spain remain the top ranked team in the world despite the defeat in the final of the Confederations Cup by host Brazil who have also moved 13 rungs to ninth position in the world.
Germany remains the second top ranked team with Colombia taking the third position.

These are the KPIs for judging Kalusha Bwalya’s performance with. I know he will say its Renard’s but who is the Coach’s boss?
There money in the FAZ account but the guy cannot arrange a single high profile FIFA recognised freindly. It’s such a huge shame.

I have since ceased to closely follow the chipolopolo games due to lack of seriousness on their part.I now closely follow the transfer window on the English premier league which is about to start any time in august.49 to 60…you must be joking.

Please Chipolopolo, we are the best in Africa and let us prove to the world that by beating Ghana 2-nill. We always beat Ghana and now we gonna beat them at their door. Let us work extra hard so that next time we will not rank that big number. It is shameful for big team tike Chipolopolo to rank number 60. But I know we are ready for Ghana and I know we gonna come back with good results. Kennedy Mwennee, Katongo, Mbesuma and all Chipolopolo Guy, let us go to beat Ghana be coz we are tired toleranting nosence.

These rankings are boo. Brazil has just proved that just like we did in 2012. What Zambia needs to do is concentrate on winning the games that matter without really paying attention to the rankings
