RB Plots Against Nevers Mumba
An elaborate plan to oust MMD president Nevers Mumba from the top of the party leadership and replace him with former President Rupiah Banda has surfaced.
Information in possession of the Daily Mail suggests the former President is working with Solwezi member of Parliament Lucky Mulusa to ensure he returns to the helm of the former ruling party.
A highly placed source told the Daily Mail: “The information on the ground is that if attempts to replace Dr Mumba with Mr Banda fail, former Finance and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane may be considered as the next in line.”
The source revealed that Mr Mulusa has already spoken to Chitambo member of Parliament Mushili Malama.
The two MPs could, however, not be reached for a comment yesterday.
Dr Mumba too was unreachable and a physical visit to his house by the Daily Mail equally proved futile as he was not there.
Mr Banda’s phone went unanswered while his assistants, Mr Wakumelo Mikatazo and Mr Kennedy Limwanya, did not pick up calls yesterday.
The MMD has appeared to be on the brink of collapse since Dr. Mumba took over amidst major rifts that have basically split the party into several cracks raising concern from some stalwarts.
“This one you are seeing is an attempt to keep the party alive by getting Dr. Mumba out and replacing him with Mr Banda or Mr Musokotwane,” the source said.
But MMD national deputy secretary Chembe Nyangu said he was not aware of such a plot within the party.
He said that if there is a plan to replace Dr Mumba, then it could be by those outside the party.
Mr Nyangu said the MMD has a constitution which stipulates that a party president can only be replaced at a national convention.

If RB whilst in State House with all the finances and State machinery at his disposal failed to match HEMCS, what of this time when he no longer he enjoys these priveleges? He will never match up with King Cobra. King Cobra is thousand miles ahead of him. RB must forget of returning back to power and instea just concentrate on his many court cases.

Infact, any opposition cannot and will not match PF. Come 2016 PF will have easy win. If PF won when other pipo had money more less like sand, what more today or 2016 when they will have no money,no techenical know how. They cannot match the migty PF and this is a fact.

People must understand that as long as Pastor Mumba remains outside his calling things will never be okay even on what he touches. The reason is simple, he is an annointed man of God who has betrayed God’ calling and decide to involve himself in dirty. MMD remove Nevers if you want peace in your party.

Where will Hakainde get the much needed votes which can take him to plot one? Hakinde’s reservour of votes is getting smaller by 2016 which you’re talking about, he will have no area called his strong hold wait and see.

Ba Vic naimwe, you have no foresight. Where is Nevers Mumba taking the MMD if not to extinction? We needed the MMD to remain vibrate so that they offer checks and balances to the PF government. However, pride comes before a fall and destruction. The stubborness of Mumba himself and his backers in the MMD will destroy the MMD just like KK & family finished off UNIP.
I concur with an observation by one blogger that, it is UNIP part 2.

Joseph you are very right. Nevers is like Jonah who was running away from what God wanted him to do. Only this time there is no fish to swallow Nevers and take him back to the Victory ministries. God does not make mistakes and He didnt make a mistake even when He picked Nevers to become a man of God. the quicker Nevers realises this the better for him and MMD.
