Its only when the bible is to be explained that you realize that so many people are lost and because of Gods love he has delayed his son’s second coming…let every comment come from the bible and let one or two or more verses support the first verse then you know you on the right track…no dead person is in heaven apart from moses whose burial place no one knows was resurrected and taken to heaven showing us that we shall one day be resurrected like him when Jesus comes the second time provided we lived a Christ like lives,not the church you go to but the life that Jesus tell us to live according to the 10 commandments cuz the commandments are the character of God and his son Jesus,u die u turn back to dust till then…

@ abena pJ, tel me. 1. When Lazarous died (sleep of death) was he able 2 see , hear, talk, walk, think?, 2. If he died as a siner, was he able 2 repeant while in grave, or wud pipo’s prayer save him frm sins? 3. who interced for us? Heb 7:24-25. 4. If afta death pipo continue living, why is there resurection? 1 tessa 4:13-17. 5. What wil hapen to siners afta judgement? Rev 21:8. Man can neither know a saint nor giv sainthud. As at now only God knows the saints coze he sees in the heart & man only see outside of a person. Man will only know the saints afta they receive reward of eternal life.

Abena PJ mwaliluba mu bowa. You even refuse Ecclesiastes! Ok, what of Genesis 3:14? Just to correct you, the vision at Mat17:1-9 was symbolic just like what Daniel saw in Daniel chp 8 and John in Revelation. PJ, avoid church dogma and you will be saved.

Ba Bible, your belief is similar to that of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. You could be one. The book of Ecclesiastes explains itself that the author was wondering and asking these puzzling questions about life to which he did not find answers because to him it seemed that the destiny of man and animals was the same. These qustions have been answered in the bible. The parable of Lazarus and the rich man told by Jesus tells us that death is not the end. Our souls go somewhere when we die. That is why Jesus tells the repentant thief “Today you will be with me in Paradise.” That is why Moses and Elijah (who died centuries back) appear at Jesus transfuguration talking to Him. Peter in 1 Peter 3:18-20 says that when Jesus died, he, in spirit, descended into hades to preach to the spirits in Prison, those who had refused to believe long time ago while God waited patiently to receive them, in Noah’s time when the ark was built. So how could Jesus have preached to these if death marks the end? The creation of man was different from the creation of animals. God breathed into man’s nostrils and he became a living soul. It is this breath that God breathed into man that survives death. If God’s breath that he breathed into man can die, then God himself can die. But we know that God lives forever. That is why when our bodies die, we live on in spririt. However, where we go is a reward and consequebce of how we have lived our life on earth as shown by our faith.

Ba African Culture, you may read the bible but misunderstand it. Sainthood is the reward for those who have lived lives true to God’s word while on earth. Read Rev 7:9-17 where those who have died are in the presence of the Lamb as John explains in verse 14, “These are the people who have been through a great trial(Persecution by the Roman Emperors, they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb…” Such are the saints in God’s presence who are filled with love that we ask them to intercede for us just as we ask our fellow christians who are still living to pray (intercede) for us. It is the miracles received through the intercession of the saints that is seal of approval that one who has passed on is in God’s presence and is able to pray for us and we receive our healing. The Pilgrim Church on earth and The Glorified Church in heaven is a community of God loving people who also love one another and so they pray for us just like we pray for the sould of the faithful departed.
