Now Kambwili Castigates Those Against ‘Disaster Stadium’ Name “If you dont Want the Name, You Can Hang”
Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili has castigated those against the naming of the new Lusaka stadium as ‘Disaster Stadium’ telling them;

‘You cant please everyone and those not happy will have to live with that. I am sorry but the story stands,” the Sports Minister disclosed and said this in the wake of fans (including FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya) rejecting the name of the new Lusaka Stadium.
Meanwhile, spokesperson for the families of the 30 heroes who perished off the coast of Gabon on April, 28, 1993, Joyce Chabala has thanked govt for the gesture.
”We are very happy and wish the President long life. Thank you very much.”
Hon. Kambwili said government consulted widely before naming the stadium and that the name which was approved by cabinet could not be changed by anyone.
”We cant say ‘Heroes National Stadium, heroes are too many, we need to specify that we are honouring the Gabon Victims Heroes. The most important thing is that we consulted widely and this name came out prominent.”

ITS LIKE YOU NAME SOMEONE “CHIMBALA”. THAT PERSON WILL BE “CHIMBALA”.
EVEN THE BIBLE SAYS WE SHOULD SPEAK POSITIVELY. THE NAME IS NEGATIVE, HENCE I AM NOT SURPRISED AT ITS REJECTION.
CABINET CAN ALSO GO WRONG AS IT COMPRISES HUMAN BEINGS WHO ARE NOT GOD!
PLEASE LISTEN TO THOSE OPPOSING THE NAME. THERE IS A LOT OF MERIT AND SENSE.

When did making calls and getting suggestions from a a few buddies of kambwilis qualify to be called wide consultation. I can assure Kambwili that if this thing was put to a vote not many would vote in favor of the new stadium being called ‘Gabon Disaster Heroes National Stadium’ its sounds retarded.

They are not the only ones that played on that stadium (gabon victims) but also others some dead and some still alive. So heroes national statium sounds better to any resonable zambian. The carbinet is not the only zambian voice bt the masses.

I have a dossier on Kambwili. This man should not think Zambians are foolish. It is just that I cant take the dossier to the PF compromised ACC with Wandi the ***** at the helm.
But time will settle matters. Polygamous Kambwili is ******. Now he is moving with a widowed lady in Luanshya to grab the late husbands property including the unfinished building in Independence Avenue.
This is the Kambwili which PF accused of giving money to his girlfriends the Youth empowerment funds.

Nasilele boyi! You are spot on! Why should we dwell on negativity “Gabon Disaster” We mourned when we lost that team we had friends and family in that team but having such a negative name is not right. Am for Heroes Stadium of just plain Lusaka Stadium.

James H & others above, we the people want a positive name. If Chishimba & the rest of cabinet won’t listen to us, let’s show them PEOPLE POWER. We should all boycott going to watch matches in this stadium until it is given a name befitting of the enlightened Zambian society.
Chishimba Kambwili should resubmit the newly proposed names to cabinet or face the wrath of the masses by BOYCOTTING ALL MATCHES until the stadium name is changed.
I really hate arrogant people and this response here from Kambwili makes him sound like a real arsehole!!!
