Zambia Progress to COSAFA Semi-Finals After Win Over Mozambique, now to Meet South Africa

Zambia
Chipolopolo boys have advanced to the next round of the COSAFA tournament after beating Mozambique and consequently booking a place in the semi-finals of the ongoing tournament where they will meet South Africa.

Goals from man of the match Mulilo Jimmy Chisenga, Bornwell Mwape and substitute Moses Phiri ensured Zambia maintained supremacy over the Mambas of Mozambique with a 3-1 mauling.

Herve Renard’s boys face South Africa on Wednesday in the last four. Surprise package Lesotho face defending champions Zimbabwe in the other semi-final at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.

A good game for a change after disapointments from bakulumpe. We need to polish the front if we have SA.

Zambia should work extra hard against a more experienced South African team. The coordination is poor in today’s game.

One down more games to come. No game is the same; Game plan against our South African brothers is one and one only! Play like you are defending your last fort…think before you leap, then leap before the SA guys realise that you are in their danger zone and hit them hard, REAL HARD so that come 90 minutes in the game, you will still be kicking ball and scoring like soccer is going out of fashion. Guys remember one thing….HIT THEM HARD.
