Wigan are battling Nottingham Forest for £1million FC Utrecht striker Jacob Mulenga.
The 29-year-old wants to make a name for himself in English football and would appear to have several options to consider as he contemplates a summer switch.
‘There is a lot of interest in Jacob,’ Mulenga’s agent Willie McKay told Sky Sports.
‘Myself and Jacob are speaking to a number of clubs about a move.
‘Jacob’s dream is to play in England and we hope to make a decision soon.’
McKay has been talking to various clubs over recent days but Wigan are hopeful they can sign the Zambian ahead of Championship rivals.
Blackpool also showed interest but are talking to Swedish striker Osman Sow, 23, of Syrianska FC.
Syrianska’s sporting director Jan Girgo told Fotbolldirekt.se: ‘It looks like Osman will leave us.
‘We would like to keep him, but I can understand that it is difficult to reject a lucrative offer from there.
‘There is still a chance, but it is not likely that he will stay with us.’

May the young man make the right choice coz these English teams will just end up putting him on the beach until he is finished.

Mulenga should be serious with himself. He has made a name for himself in Holland and he cannot be going to a championship just because it is England. he is better off to play for top flight in Holland itself or any other country than to go for a lower division in England just because they will play in European league. If a player from nigeria can be taken from Nigeria straight in the premier league why not our players. The way mayuka did that was good. Young man England should not make that cheap lam sure there are clubs in Holland that are really interested in you. Get lessons from kalusha who left Holland for Mexico. Top flight in mainland Europe is top flight in the world. You are even better off to play in Belgium Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal than second division in England.

More money, less game time. High quality players sometimes stay on the bench as in Chelsea.

We wish him well. But you will see this will just die down because of too much pomp for nothing by some administrators. Kalu will be demanding more on the sides from the clubs.

Anthony Chibuye is right. The Championship will bruise the name he already has in Holland. Ka agent kale fwaya transfer so that kalye mo. Let him stay in holland and let him help his team improve its position on the Dutch league table by becoming top scorer of the league. That way, he will be able to make a bigger name within Holland.
