If this story is true, I can only describe it as barbaric and devoid of respect for human rights. in Zambia, it is well known that according to our justice system, every suspect is innocent until found guilty by the competent criminal court of law and therefore no one must be tortured no matter the gravity of the case committed. It is also well known and documented that Zambia is a signatory to the bill of rights which does not allow any person to be subjected to torture regardless of the gravity of the case, hence those idiots involved in the violation of the accused must be taken to task and pay for their deeds and brought to book as enshrined in our statues of the Law.
