Zambia Butcher Zimbabwe To Win COSAFA

Zambia 13Zambia dominated 2013 COSAFA Cup individual honours list with Mukuka Mulenga winning the most valuable player award.

The 20-year-old Power Dynamos midfielder has been in inspired form in all three of Zambia’s game despite not scoring for Chipolopolo at the tournament on their way to beating Zimbabwe  2-0 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the COSAFA Cup final on July 20 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Joining him on the winners roll is Red Arrows goalkeeper Daniel Munyau who took home the best goalkeepers award. However, the golden boot award went to Botswana striker Jerome Ramatlhakwana who reigned supreme despite leaving the tournament at the initial stage.

Ramatlhakwana finished on four goals from Botswana’s three games played before The Zebras exited from the preliminary round group stage.

All three awards saw the winners take home Rands 10,000 each.
