The Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) has started collecting signatures ahead of its scheduled launch of the Rupiah Bwezani Banda Come campaign.
ZDDM president Edwin Sakala has disclosed that so far there has been good response from the people as regard the launch of the campaign to bring the former head of state to active politics.
Mr. Sakala says people in the country have observed that opposition political parties in the country are fragmented thereby requiring the formation of one opposition political party which should be lead by the former head of state, Mr. Rupiah Banda.
Mr. Sakala has maintained that Mr. Banda is better placed to lead opposition as he has been president before and that some people in the country have already welcomed the launch of his come back to active politics.
Mr. Sakala has further disclosed that the official launch of the Rupiah Bwezani Banda come back campaign will be done near the former president’s home village in Chiparamba in the Eastern Province.

Please, can you leave Rupiah alone. Let him try to enjoy his benefits; and moreover, that man has got issues.

Kampala, I would like to say that : yes, we are short of reasoning politicians and that is why you have Sata with his famous lowest grade of leadership abilities, messing up with this country’s needed developments. RB did well and has learnt a lot about the mistakes his team made. We will give him a chance to help us.

You will give him a chance with who, speak for yourself mwana. RB should be left to enjoy his retirement. As much as we do not need ever hallucinating Sata, we have other people who can lead the country and you are one of them. If RB came back to active politics, the PF will just cause him to die young! He has enough problems already and he really should stay away! chinasila baba!

Rupiah is not intelligent at all its only tht we had no option tht time, to Hell with him.
Dean Mung’omba & Mazoka were the only brilliant Presidential Materials not these “sluts”.

How old will Rupiah be in 2016? I understand there’s a clause in the draft constitution which precludes people above 75 years from occupying the office of the president.
Let the old man rest, because we are even about to retire Sata in 2016 and replace him with an energetic president who will not be hiding in state house for more than a month because of old age.
The Rupiah and Sata generation’s time to lead us is over.

One of us now. How much did he steal and where is the money. His son Henry is hiding somewhere in Africa or who knows where on a account of this stupidity and criminality. What kind of Father does that to his son?

is this the same Rb who never had any regard for pipo who opposed his leadership , are we short of people to lead us why should we make the same mistake we made in 2011 by voting a finished politician in the name of charge .

Please Mr. Sakala dissipate your energy on issues that are progressive. How many times will RB be recycled into active politics?
It’s close to two years now since he bade the presidency farewell with tear – filled eyes and yet the memory of his political transgressions is as fresh as due. Leave him to enjoy his retirement with his family as he extricates himself from cobwebs of allegations of financial impropriety that have been leveled against him.

Rupiah Banda would make very weak opposition. He has never been in opposition before in his life. When UNIP became opposition he dived into oblivion and out of politics. Thats cowardice. So his learning curve will just delay the opposition’s return to power.

Clearly, there is something wrong with Edwin Sakala. I do recall, not too long ago, Zambia had a politician after whom Sakala takes, regarding ukusabaila!

By engaging Rupiah as opposition leader will delay the same oppositions by 30 years to take power from PF instead of normal 20 years. We need a leader who can take hard decisions like Michael Sata not the one who always take business as usual like Rupiah Banda.
