Royal baby: Thousands Celebrate at Buckingham Palace

Thousands of well-wishers descended on Buckingham Palace on Monday night to celebrate the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby boy.

Many tried to glimpse a formal bulletin announcing the 16:24 BST delivery of the baby, who weighed 8lb 6oz.

The birth will be marked later with a series of gun salutes and the ringing of Westminster Abbey’s bells.

Prince William said the couple “could not be happier”. Kensington Palace said the baby would be named in due course.

The duke stayed with Catherine and the new arrival – the third in line to the throne – overnight at the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, west London.

BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt said it was unclear how long the baby would be kept in.

Good day, I work with white people. These chaps are a very big syndicate which makes sure money, opportunities, luxuries stays amoungst themselves. In turn they make black haired people think a white person is blessed. How many babies are born everyday without any media attention. Celebrating a child who will chew tax payers money till he dies. This is rubbish.

I am loving your line of thought! There is every reason to celebrate. Some Zambians are busy throwing away their babies, why wouldnt a couple that has happily married and has been happy in marriage and now have a child not celebrate??? Those criticizing the celebration, no one has stopped you from celebrating the birth of your children, congratulations to those that celebrate even if you are not where this couple is in terms of social class you do a good thing for yourselves to welcome your children. Lekeni ukuposa abana notu popo mwipaya mu Zambia!

You are the ones throwing babies around in Zambia. Why do you expect/wish Jesus to be born again? He is only coming back to judge us so ifi you sound so jealousy just wait, mamamama now i have also sinned by judging you…. lolest!

Anti Nonsense, I am married to a beautiful wife and we have two handsome boys both born under wedlock and we celebrate everytime our children are born including their birthdays that is why I saluted all that celebrate the birth of their children. You sound bitter, is it because no one celebrated your birth? Its not my fault that your birth may not have been celebrated because it brought sorrow and disgrace to your family efyo caba umwana wakupula nga afyala (born out of wedlock) none celebrates including its parents or when your parents are too old when you are born such that all your father wants is your mother to terminate the pregnancy. Sorry!!!

What do you know about deliverance? If anything you need to be delivered from the spirit of RACISM and HATRED. Your First remark in your contribution is full of RACISM. The second point is all about how you hate an innocent BABY that has not even chewed your TAX yet.Muzidyela cabe mweka ma Tax muno mu Zambia ukazi kamba pa mwana iwe who is only TWO days old.Mfwiti iwe!!!

Why an African would be interested in this beats me. It only displays his need to be enslaved. Why not celebrate african royalty? Inferiority complex tells africans that only whites have celebrities

      July 26, 2013 at 10:07 am

You have answered the question all by yourself. If we see need to celebrate our African Royalty we should and would have been, remember its not too late. Should you blame the western royalty for not celebrating your own???come on like hell NO!!! You sound so enslaved yourself just in this statement and until you are free from this slavery in your mind, you will oppose even what is so genuine! So next time a baby is born in Zambian Royal families let me know I would be glad to celebrate with you! Katwishi noku kwine nga tawaka kane ati awe neushili waku bufumu! What a retrogressive way of thinking.
