Nevers Has Caused MMD Collateral Damage – Major Kachingwe

Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) faction leader Major Richard Kachingwe has charged that the former ruling party has suffered collateral damage under the leadership of Dr Nevers Mumba.

Major Kachingwe says Dr Mumba should therefore be held responsible for the collateral damage the party has allegedly suffered.

He urged senior party leaders reported to be in favour of the former ruling party holding a convention, to fortify such a course in order to save the former ruling party from further collapse.

Major Kachingwe says while the alleged MMD senior leaders who have not been named have realized the need to change the party leadership through a convention, they should also charge party president Dr. Nevers Mumba for the damage he has allegedly caused the former ruling party.

Major Kachingwe has told Qfm in an interview that under Dr. Mumba’s leadership the MMD has suffered a major drawback.

Meanwhile Major Kachingwe has condemned the striping of a UPND female official by suspected Patriotic Front (PF) cadres during campaigns for the July 25 by-election in Solwezi East constituency in the North Western province.

Major Kachingwe who himself is a victim of political hooliganism says the violence being perpetrated in the constituency has no place in a Democratic country like Zambia regardless of which political cadres are engaged in such acts.

He has urged all political parties taking part in the July 25th by-elections to denounce all forms of violence.

Jesus for sure would or it is easier for a camel to pass through the eyes of a needle than MMD to bounce back to power. And for UPND, it will take another 15 to 20 years for them to ascend to power and it will not be Hakainde who take them there.

Mr Kachingwe does he qualify to talk on MMD issues, considering his sale-out of former MMD president RB?

Zuberi, you mean sale-out by testifying against RB in the Nigerian scandalous oil deal? Major Kachingwe had no choice in this matter as he could have been prosecuted himself if he did not turn into state witness. It is simple self preservation, which even you and I would have resorted to being in the same position as he was.
As for the UPND being into power is most unlikely under the current dispensation. The UPND is too stiff and more Southern oriented to attract the nerve centre of voters in Zambia, which is Copperbelt, Lusaka & Northern.
As it stands, Zambians are politically alive, but not convinced about the intentions of UPND rather than just getting into state house through a manipulative alliance with MMD.
What new policy pronouncements have they made in the last 6 months? Chances of UPND forming government in 2016 are Zilch!

There is no true way of articulating these issues than this. Mundia M you’re 100% correct. UPND forming govt in 2016, a pipe dream and an illusion. Any party forming govt here in Zambia, that party should have support in Lusaka, Copperbelt and Northern provinces. The same way with USA, no one can go to White House minus the state of Florida.

No. The other provinces can make an impact.. WESTN/ NW/ CENTRL…UPND can still get a large share of ballots in Lusaka. The field is still very open.

MMD must not reward any post to “major” Kachingwe. He is a mole and an official for hire.

Look how he is being used to betray RB and MMD.

Please MMD get rid of Kachingwe for GOOD, next he will take u to court after you get rid of Nevers that he wants the position he held (so that he can be trading secrets to PF).

    Be warned.

MMD did worst things than stripping the opposition party carders, they killed in chongwe not forgeting the mufumbwe violence in fact you are saying suspected PF carders which means they could have been UPND,UNIP,ABZ or NAREP carders who stripped that fat woman.
