Residents Complain of Water Shortages in Nakonde
Dear editor,
I thank you in advance for giving me space to air my complaint. We are facing terrible water shortages here in Nakonde. The reason given all the time by Chambeshi water and sewerage is the damaged pump.
Now, does it mean that a damaged pump can’t be replaced? How long does it take to replace a damaged pump? Why should we be suffering like this? The MP and the Distict commissioner have no voice at all, they are forgetting we put them were they are.
Please sir, Mr. Gerry Chanda, the provincial minister for Muchinga, come to our aid before we start losing lives in Nakonde, because we have started drinking anything, and we have no money to hire a driller for clean water at our homes. So please, do something urgently.

Clean water is the most important human need. Mr. Minister hurry up and assist these vulnerable people. PF is a listening government.

Not only in Nakonde, try to go around the country you will see how people are suffering. ati pf is a listening government, may be is a listening government in planet Jupiter not in planet earth.

Not only erratic water shortages,the water pumped also by this so called CWSC is like opaque beer and dirty at the same time you can’t use it for washing white shirts.We buy drinking ( mineral )water from our neighboring country TANZANIA,How much are we going to spend buying water and yet we have our own water supplying companies? Why can’t they improve their filtration process so that we can have clean water in NAKONDE?

Am a nakonde resident as well, what people drink here can’t be called water, its brown beer, chibuku.Many times people have complained about erratic water supply but no one has come to our aid.From the time Clive Silavwe was MP until now we have Able Sichula, nothing is happening. At one time when the current President Mr Sata was in opposition, he got some water here to be tested in lusaka and upto no we have never received the results.Mr President, you have seen the water we drink here in nakonde, please help us,,, CWSC just exists on paper, it do not provide the services required to the people.
We can’t continue buying drinking water from tanzania, it has become very expensive, we have even stopped putting on white pants pantu kuti yakowela.We can’t ask our MP because we have never head him contribute in parliament, he is just a passenger waiting for the allowances at the end of the session.PLEASE BA PRESIDO TWAPAPATA TWAFWENIKO.
