Pope Francis: Who Am I To Judge Gay People? Stop Marginalising Them

Pope Francis has said gay people should not be marginalised but integrated into society.

Speaking to reporters on a flight back from Brazil, he reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church’s position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not.

He was responding to questions about whether there was a “gay lobby” in the Vatican.

“If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge them?”

He also said he wanted a greater role for women in the Church, but insisted they could not be priests.

The Pope arrived back in Rome on Monday after a week-long tour of Brazil – his first trip abroad as pontiff – which climaxed with a huge gathering on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach for a world Catholic youth festival.

Festival organisers estimated it attracted more than three million people.

The pop has popped! He now puts celibacy in question! All this about boys and men being abused by priests in the catholic church were not without basis. That is why the catholic church has never defrocked any priest founding wanting because of abusing boys! It should not be confusing but confirming!

watch and pray….all these things are but sign of the end times….otherwise, these signs are to remind us that Jesus Christ is coming soon….let us fix our eyes on Jesus Christ to overcome so that we are not found wanting…..the bible does not say let man have his own man or woman have her own woman in order to flee from fornication (1 Corinthians 7:2) and Jude 1:7…end times…end times my brothers…

There are many gods which Christians reject. I just believe in one less god then they do. The reasons that you might give for your atheism toward the Roman gods are likely the same reasons I would give for not believing in Jesus. — Dan Barker

This makes sad reading for me not only because I am a Catholic but because I have a need in my church for deliverance which my church has not yet fully come to embrace. My appeal to all Christians that mean well,is that please pray for our Leader and pray for our Catholic church, that God pours his Holy Spirit of Power in the church and sets free all people who are in gay activities by delivering them from the spirit of Homosexuality in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN

Is pope a christian? There cannot be a christian who can encourage homosexual when the bible states clear. We need to know why God put a seed in us for the purpose of continuation as as the earth remains.

He is not encouraging gaysim. He is only saying he cannot judge a fellow human being. Read your Bible and you will see that Jesus has told us not to judge others.

Homosexuality is SIN just as murder, fornication, adultery, lies, false witness, not honoring parents, etc. It is right for leaders to speak and condemn these sins. It is right for leaders to call sinners to repentance. Jesus castigated sinners and called them to repentance – not to sin again.
The Pope here was saying ‘Zoipa Chitani Mulungu azaweluza’. That was wrong!!
