Mazembe Gives Sinkala High Marks

Midfielder Nathan Sinkala is officially Zambia’s most consistent player at DR Congo giants TP Mazembe.

According to official statistics released by the club, the midfielder is the clubs’ fifth most consistent player so far this season.

Sinkala have played 359 minutes for the club while his compatriot’s defender Hichani Himonde, striker Given Singuluma and centre back Stopilla Sunzu have clocked 270, 231 and 90 minutes respectively.

Midfielder Rainford Kalaba has enjoyed 60 minutes of action after getting a rare start last Saturday in Mazembe’s 3-0 CAF Confederation Cup Group B home win over FUS Rabat of Morocco.

Meanwhile, topping the overall list as expected is goalkeeper Robert Kidiaba on 540 minutes.

Tanzania striker Mbwana Samatta is the most active outfield player after clocking 411 minutes.

Sinkala, who has scored one goal this season for Mazembe, is part of Zambia’s 20-member team named for next Wednesday’s friendly against Senegal in Paris together with Himonde, Sunzu and Kalaba.
