Renard Splits Technical Bench as CHAN Team Leaves For Zimbabwe

Herve-Renard-Instructs150110HBP180The Zambia national CHAN team on Friday afternoon left for Zimbabwe Harare for the first leg final round qualifier for the 2014 South Africa CHAN tournament.

With a busy schedule lying ahead for the Chipolopolo, national soccer team coach Herve Renard has had to split his technical bench with Nkana mentor and assistant coach Masauso Mwale leading the team to France while the Frenchman has headed to Harare.

“As announced at our weekly press briefing on Wednesday, our technical bench will be split into two going into the weekend,” Erick Mwanza said.

Herve has decided that he will be with Patrice Beaumelle,Tteam manager Lusekelo Kamwambi, Dr Joseph Kabungo and physio Davies Mulenga on duty in Harare while Chipolopolo Equipment and Logistics Manager Stanley Kaseko, Assistant Coach Masauso Mwale and Team Physio Gibson Chaloba will fly to Paris on Sunday together with the contingent of TP Mazembe players who joined the camp Friday”.

He said the technical staff and players on duty in Zimbabwe will fly out of Harare soon after the match and be in France Monday night.

The TP Mazembe players, Nathan Sinkala, Rainford Kalaba, Hichani Himonde and Stophira Sunzu are already in the country in readiness for the trip to France.

Renard has dropped Shadreck Malamb, Bernard Mapili and Lubambo Musonda.

New call ups Rodrick Kabwe of Zanaco and Boyd Musonda of Young Zanaco have made the team.

And Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation ZNBC has said they will not televise the match between Zambia and Zimbabwe live on TV due to failure by the rights holders to facilitate the transaction which would allow for live broadcast.

The full squad for the CHAN qualifier against Zimbabwe:
Goalkeepers: Danny Munyao, Joshua Titima

Defenders: Christopher Munthali, Bronson Chama, Kabaso Chongo, Jimmy Chisenga, Fackson Kapumbu, Masauso Zimba

Midfielders: Khondwani Mtonga, Misheck Chaila, Sydney Kalume, Julius Situmbeko, Kelvin Mubanga, Bruce Musakanya, Roderick Kabwe, Boyd Musonda

Strikers: Bornwell Mwape, Festus Mbewe, Evans Kangwa, Alex Ngonga, Moses Phiri

    Football pazed At nationanal Television cant even televise the match, where is OUR TV LICENCE FEES.

    can you imagine how unappreciate these fellows are? We gave them free maize to prevent them from starving to death, but alas they cant even facilitate transmitting a football match!! What more if it was food zambia wanted from them, would they provide???? Starving Zambabwe. Congrats for voting Mugabe again for more misery.
