PF Government Emphasises New Civil Servants Salaries Coming In September

Reports attributed to the Ministry of Finance that the effective date for implementation of new salaries for public service workers has been moved are false and just another scheme aimed at stressing workers and thereby affecting their productivity and capacity to deliver the promises of the Government to the people of Zambia.

During the media briefing on treasury and fiscal matters held last Sunday, the Minister of Finance was very categorical in his affirmation that the new salaries would be implemented NEXT MONTH IN SEPTEMBER.

At that occasion, the Minister praised all public service unions for the benevolence shown in agreeing that the salary increments be implemented in September, instead of the end of the first quarter in March. He also thanked the unions for their spirit of dialogue, understanding and focused leadership.

Fredson Yamba
Secretary To The Treasury
Ministry Of Finance

who are those liars? the opposition and the NGO’s?. so any one who questions or remind govmt on important issues is a liar?

As much as we appreciate salary increment, we also need gud governance, freedom of assembly and the list goes on. we need a govmt that support human rights “but not gay rights”

Do you have the right to abuse or mistreat yr spouse just becoz you giver everything she needs? the answer is Nor. there are so many issues that needs to be addressed by govm’t. increasing salaries for civil servants is govmt’s responsibility and they should not be boasting about it coz they also increased theirs first.

@Mwanawachisi, stop poverty mentality. Why should be crying for a ka bag of mealie meal? How much do u spend in ma prostitutes and drunkenness? Even if government gives 200% increment of salary today, I am sure you will go on crying. My advice is: know how to manage the little you are getting today because a bag of mealie meal of 60 Kwacha is not a big deal at all.

Viva Chikwanda to me means fool us chikwanda this is from a simple economic analytical point of view. removal of subside from fuel and other products means increase in production production costs and in all commodities even the fool vivaring chikwanda will pay more for all the cmmodities that before this will immediatly be in front of your face when you recieve your pay slips the figers to give back to chikwanda will be more than you give him today and the price increase will not be propotional to your salaries so watch out.

The govt has created more jobs more especially for the civil servants and TEACHERS in particular, and adding to this is the salary increase for them, this is a welcome move.
Now I seriously want them to regulate employment on the mines because the investors are taking advantage of the unemployment levels and offer CONTRACT JOBS instead of permanent ones.
Also they should re-look at the conditions of service more especially the retirement package and terminal benefits for the mines. At least lets have former ZCCM Conditions of service as a REFERENCE.
