Its good that Danny, Bronson, Bruce, Bornwell and Festus have a chance to visit Europe and see how others live. Perhaps they will set their goals higher as they pursue their next career steps. The above named should break into the european leagues so that we can have a bigger professional player base for Zambia to be more forcefull and competitive in future. All the best boys. Aim higher and higher.

Good team struggling Zambia. May be we can stop struggling against SADC minnows i.e. Lesotho, Botswana. World Cup my foot, we will be an embarrassment until we can beat likes of Lesotho & Botswana. Ashamed.

Sulley Muntari is confident Ghana will maintain cool heads in next month’s final group stage match against Zambia in the qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana are only a point away from reaching the final round but will need to edge past the reigning African champions, Chipolopolo in Kumasi on 6 September to keep their ambition of reaching a third consecutive finals.

Muntari, who has been present in the Black Stars’ two World Cup appearances is hopeful Ghana will avert any setback from their opponents after losing the reverse fixture 1-0 in Ndola.

“We want to go to Brazil and we are focused on qualifying,” Muntari told FIFA.com.

“We are committed to that goal.

“We are ready for them this time. It will be a tough game and we will do our best to win. We are on top of the group, closer to Brazil, and we want to finish it in grand style.”

Ghana sit at the summit of the Group D standings, one point ahead of Zambia. But with the Chipolopolo’s getting the better of the Black Stars in their last two meetings – a semi-final triumph at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations and a win a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying -, there will be much at stake in their next meeting in Kumasi.

“They have troubled us for a long time, have given us sleepless nights,” he said.

“But we are ready for them and want to make it big this time. We are poised to plant broad smiles on the faces of Ghanaians in Kumasi.”

Kwesi Appiah has named his squad to face Turkey next week in a friendly in Istanbul.

The Black Stars coach has selected a 21-man group for Wednesday’s match at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, which will be a tough warm-up for next month’s World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

And Appiah makes some real surprises with his choices, including three debutants in his team.

Spain-based goalkeeper Razak Braimah, midfielder Yussif Raman Chibsah and striker Emmanuel Banahene were named in the squad.

The match against Turkey will kick off at 21:30 pm [7:30GMT] in Istanbul.

If Zambia has to record win over Ghana the following should be considerd,
    1. include Mbesuma on the list
2.ignore Christopher completely and Zambia should aim to score more than two goals beacause all what Ghana needs is draw.all these are cardinal but the greatest of all is to IGNORE CHRISTOPHER the tired legs

A second half brace by Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan inspired the Black Stars to a 2-2 draw in a friendly match with Turkey on Wednesday in Istanbul.

Istanbul, a city noted for comebacks following the 2005 Champions League finals experienced another fantastic night of football as Ghana rallied back.

Gyan came off the bench in the second half to rescue Ghana after they fell to two first half goals courtesy strikes by Burak Yılmaz and Umut Bulut at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium.

The friendly, a preparatory match for Ghana ahead of the up-coming 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia saw Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah hand two debutants, goalkeeper Razak Braimah and Yusif Chibsah their first caps.

Gyan scored in the 61st minute before getting the equaliser after 75 minutes for the Black Stars.

Ghana will now turn their sights to the African second round qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup with a home game against Zambia on September 6 in Kumasi.

If we go by that history when we beat Italy, we had to play Ghana in Khumasi before we played Italy. We won that match. My sangoma told me that it will be that repeat!

mr mumba u ar a great soccer analyst bro..our boys had a fantastic day but the prmblm ws at de back,Rena started wt de likes of munthali and Bronson chama at de back(weak soldiers 4 such a game)that made de teranga lions to restore parity with a free header wit leveled de score line after a brilliant goal by Jacob mule.de game ws 50 50 wit few chances comin frm both team..we need chisamba Lungu, mbesuma to partner wit Jacob as mayuka failed to impress.havin watched Ghana vs turkey Asamoah Gyan is de man to watch out wit their 4.5.1 formation Apiah wants to use against Zambia..we nid to score early goals atleast 2 bfore halftime if we ar to beat black stars at their soil.i will remain hopfu that Zambia will beat Ghana.have my finger.
