HH Accuses Gvt of Being Greedy In The Way They Are Allocating Funds

United Party for National Development leader Hakainde Hichilema has accused the Patriotic Front (PF) government of being greedy in the way they are allocating funds.
Mr. Hichilema has told Qfm news that it is illegal for government to begin building President Michael Sata’s house before he retires.

Mr. Hichilema has charged that it is a white color crime because it unconstitutional to build Mr. Sata a house before he retires.

He explains that it is clear in the emolument act on when any President’s house should receive funds to begin building a house.

The UPND leader has since described the move by government not consider the past Presidents who do not yet have the houses built as greedy and unrespectful.

He stresses that President Sata’s act only becomes valid after he retires and when he is seating President.

Well, HH should know that Southern Province has got the highest allocation. Just look at Livingstone today. Anyway some people will never appreciate and will keep saying the half truths. Thank God the whole true sets people free…

You’re right Luke, how does Hakainde think. Every day millions if not billions are coming into Livingstone like no other time in the history of this country. Coming to Mr Sata’s house,i do not see anything wrong here after all no matter what, the house will built for him by the govt. So in this case the PF govt is clever may be than any other govt in the past.

HH work hard with your hard working party members so that you can form government in 2016. Then you can defer work on Sata’s retirement home and the universities being built in Muchinga to address issues surrounding accommodation problems at higher institutions of learning, make Sata join the queue of past presidents awaiting construction of retirement homes and sort out job creation for the many youths languishing with faded hope. Ofcourse alongside this you could prioritize health and agriculture. We need sanity in the economy for development to take root.

The issue of building houses for former presidents doesnt make sense at all, it’s a waste of resources.Honestly, does sata or HH need a hse wen they leave state hse? Some of these bad laws shud be revisited! Let’s take money 2 real needy areas

HH has a point on the House issue , the Government or the media should show us some progress on the House building project so that we know at which stage FTJ’s , LPM’s and RB’s House has reached. We are supposed to be told at what level Mr Sata’s house has reached, is it design level or foundation?. But again , HH’s comments are misplaced when he accused Government of allocating monies to the First Lady , I feel now that there is a budget of K1.5m allocation , then the Auditor General will surely be able to audit funds unlike in the past when there was Hope Foundation, MMCI and Thandiwe’s NGOs whois monies we do not know the source.

Quite right amuna onzuna. This money can be accounted for unlike in the past where others would get monies for the office of First Lady but in practical sense it went to build The Mpundu flats.

Pat this man has no plans for this country really. One of the many reasons is that he has never been a leader anywhere apart from the leadership he leads that of his family.

aka HH whether the house is built today or tomorrow the truth of the matter is that it has to be built for the former head of state. this is what is making the opposition useless otherwise there are more progressive issues to talk about. the issue is the former head of state must be given a house period.

It’s sound selfish for gonm’t to consider building the current president’s house without building the houses for past presidents

Yes, the house for any former head of state has to be built. but maybe the PF government would have built the houses for Chiluba, Mwanawasa and RB first. that’s when Sata’s house can be built.

does it mean Sata is retiring in 2016 for his to be built know? if thats the case, i know understand why there is a debate of indorsing Sata for 2016

I like Kenneth Kaunda Obama mbewa thinking and contradictions on his second paragraph when he says the house has to be built for the former head of state. The question is Michel Sata a former head of State? As for Pat they is no sense in his writing.

The one dying is not known and you can’t judge the death on someone’s age because some body 18, 20,40,60,15 years can die aerlier than the 80,95 or 100 years respectively. So we better be careful when we talk about issues concerning deaths because death remains a mystry.

Why should HH expect money in his MP led constituences when he asks his MPs not to support government programmes. Let Sata take money and development were they appreciate him not northwesten and some parts of Southen provinces.

A serving president is on salary.
He should be able to build his retirement house from his pay!
I hope this is what MCS is doing.
    No extra funding please!
