ZCTU: Calls For President’s Medical Examination Misplaced
Sata
ZCTU President Leonard Hikaumba says there is presently no need for such calls as that can only happened when the president is incapacitated.
Mr Hikaumba those calling on Cabinet to constitute a team of medical Doctors are only wishing the president ill-health.
He implored Zambians to learn to follow the right procedure whenever they want to bring out serious national matters.
And the Patriotic Front in Shibuyunji district has described as petty jealous and cheap propaganda to earn political mileage calls by the UPND for a team of Doctors to be constituted to ascertain the health of President Sata.
PF Shibuyunji District Secretary Joseph Kasonde says the UPND is still in disbelief that President Sata is fit.
Mr Kasonde says President Sata has little time to continue appearing to the public everyday as the UPND wishes, because he is preoccupied with delivering development to the Zambian people.
He wonders what President Sata’s daily public appearance has to do with the various developmental programmes he has initiated.

Any president’s life including his health life is and should be under scrutiny…this is not wishing him dead. Can he also hold a press conference where such issues can be clarified? He has never held one since he became president, why?

As much as the life of the president is under scrutiny, that scrutiny comes only when there are grey evidence that he is incapacitated to rule. The man is okay and even able to crack jokes. Coming to press conferences,if i may ask what does press conferences have to do in expense of development? President Sata is working very hard in most cases knocks off slightly midnight. We are not interested in these press conferences most of us,but rather we are interested in these unprecedented development which are taking place almost everywhere in this country.

I would have told Trixy the same thing…what will it help you for the President to parade before cameras and tell you that he has tarred the raod from Lukulu to Mongu when in fact not? I would he is quiet but you are seeing things happening. He did enough talking all his life in the opposition, it’s now time to deliver! ala aba bantu atini!
